How long before this becomes the tariff/embargo thread (not counting the phantom embargo of Cuba)?

It is supposed to be paid at the end of the month and no farm with income above $900,000 is supposed to get a payout, but who knows how that will be implemented and enforced.
If the $12 billion was to be paid with money off Trump’s tariff shelf, that could be a question mark.

This is the part of Trump I don't understand. Everybody knows that they wouldn't be bankrupt without tariffs, that the country won't be bankrupt. It's not even a close question. It's not even something Ram would swallow. So what does he gain by saying it?
I don't know ram swallows a lot of trump shit.

He is not exactly Machiavelli. He wasn't very bright before his brain turned to mush. He says that because he is a very stupid man, not because he is trying to manipulate Ramrouser.

Not really. It’s mean, Trump has no legal right to direct any of the tariff income, which is paid to the Treasury, but the IEEPA tariffs overturned today are less than half of tariffs in effect, so if you just run with tariff receipts going on a tariff shelf that Trump can do whatever he wants with, then they have plenty to cover the $12B bailout.

Did not SCOTUS have an obligation to have a lower level court "get everyone together" and hammer out a refund plan?

Who would constitute everyone? Lots of different fact patterns and claims to be resolved — importers who directly paid the tariffs, but what about the exporters who claim they ate the tariffs in their pricing? What about American businesses and consumers who paid the cost of an importer’s tariff costs via higher prices?

Sorting all that out is a mess. Which is why it would’ve made a lot more sense to stay the application of these tariffs pending this decision. Of course, the Trump Administration argued that there was no need for a stay because refunds could be calculated later if needed.
