Terror in Charlotte

On the news tonight (ABC I think) they were talking about Border Patrol is only going after people with warrants or deportation orders then immediately talked about a person who was detained and released after he had the proper documentation.

How people can't put two and two together and conclude the first statement is an obvious lie is beyond me.

It makes you wonder how many people are being wrongfully detained and/or arrested simply because they don’t have “documentation” on them. In this country, we are not required to carry around documentation, nor should we be. People should not be subjected to such harassment where government officials approach them and essentially demand “documentation.”
 
Difficult to take the host seriously. He starts the show with a string hyperbolic rhetoric.

People may not like the masks or the in-your-face approach, but it's ICE's job to arrest and detain people here illegally.

Then why are they arresting and detaining people here legally? Why are they snatching people off the street based upon nothing but their skin color? Why are they smashing windows of American citizens based on nothing but suspicion (because of their skin color)? Why are they showing up to courtrooms where people are going through the process the correct way to arrest them when they leave the courthouse?

and let's keep in mind that unlawful entry into the country is a misdemeanor not a felony...

Can you imagine how busy Trump's jackbooted brown shirts would be if they were manhandling every person of every skin color in America who has committed a misdemeanor ?

To the degree it's happening, I assume it's sloppiness due to a) poorly trained agents and b) rushing to hit daily goals.

I agree that they don't appear to be arresting "the worst of the worst" at this point and are making mistakes, i.e. George Retes.
 
trying to get rid of illegals is as useless as the phony war on drugs.

if they really wanted to stop it they would severely punish businesses that hire them. no jobs=they wount come here or stay here. ice raids are nothing but tv con don being tv con don. as someone who has ~40 illegals employed at any given time if they came and got them, which they wont, i'd have them all replaced within a day or two because theres several illegals behind every tree in this county. ice raids are nothing but tv and hard on material for magas.

And you think people showing up for their standard immigration hearing in court, getting their immigration status revoked due to order from the justice department, and then getting detained by ICE who just happen to be waiting outside is all part of ICE merely doing their jobs to get rid of illegal immigrants.

Also, the guest on the Fox News show referenced the current economic climate and said now isn’t the time to break the bank on spending. So, no it wasn’t a secret commentary.

I live in Charlotte and we have Latino housekeepers and lawn service. I texted them both this week to not feel that they need to come to our house this week, or next, or anytime soon if they don’t feel comfortable doing so, and we will still pay them fully as if they did. I’ll happily clean my damn house and mow my damn lawn for however long it takes.
