Terror in The Triangle Extended

We’re in Winston, so no news of ICE activity here yet. However, my sister-in-law (US citizen) and her mom (permanent resident) are from the Dominican Republic. They’ve taken to carrying all their documents wherever they go out of fear they’ll be stopped. Her mom works as a supplier for mostly Hispanic-owned restaurants and several of them are closed because staff is afraid to come to work.

Yeah, people here legally are afraid to leave their homes because ICE is “just doing their jobs,” or so I have been told.
But, ICE was deporting people when Obama, Clinton, and Biden were president. Why is it different now?
I think the answer lies in the fact that ICE is, in fact, not JUST doing their jobs.
 
ICE was in my area today and it's crushing how scared folks are.

This isn't a pursuit of law and order, this is just governmental terrorism.

I hate this more than I know how to express. And what I can express isn't suitable for this board or for me putting anywhere in public.
 
Feel like I called it in they closed of Collins Crossing (Old Well) today. My son’s friend is a DoorDash driver and couldn’t deliver today! Fucking asholes!

if i had a dollar for every business owner i know who says the illegals they hire are legal id have a lot of dollars....esp the ones profiting big time off of them. them not coming to work tells you all you need to know. i dont think people really realize just how many of illegals are here.

As I understand it, people who are documented are also not going to work since it is clear that papers or no papers the racial profiling and abductions are happening. That is exactly why the word "terror" is appropriate. Add in that when work places are manned by both documented and undocumented workers who form a team then the simple absence of several makes the entire operation impossible.
