My guess is that, in the unlikely event it happens, the trial won’t be anywhere in Utah.

Why not? The state is not likely to defer to the feds.
Also, I do think this case will be tried because I think Utah will insist on the death penalty.

Yeah I’m assuming the feds can get him to trial first. And I know you can transfer to a different state in the federal system. But I truly have no idea how fast the Utah courts move. Just think Bondi will do all she can to get a scalp.
