One thing I think is highly likely is that Jon Stewart and John Oliver will be swinging for the fences on this one. I’d expect an Oliver episode on the first amendment imminently, hopefully accompanied by a song to Trump like the one they did for that shithead Bob Murray.
When David Ellison and Skydance buy HBO, John Oliver likely is fired.

Don’t worry I’m sure @Ramrouser and @Callatoroy will be here eminently to tell us this is no big deal and exactly the same as something Biden did, and @ZenMode will tell us that the real problem is that we shouldn’t be using the word fascism to describe the administration using the coercive power of the federal government to silence its critics.
Nexstar made a business decision. Kimmel was spewing fake news and the company decided the show wasn’t a right fit for its stations. Plus, Kimmel was only drawing 1.7 M viewers (same as Colbert) so it’s not like the show was making the stations tons of money.

Gutfeld’s going to get some new viewers.

I think you’re right. He seems to be a genuinely good person.
He is. I’ve met him on a number of occasions, including at a KU watch party in LA at a bar called the Parlor, as his wife is a KU grad. He invited me to a party he was hosting and went out of his way to talk to me when we bumped into each other in the hallway.

He is a Tom Hanks level nice guy.

You really might be the worst fucking person on this board

Do you think it is a coincidence that Nexstar made a "business" decision after the head of the FCC threatened to take ABC off of the air unless they got rid of Kimmel?

The Parlor used to be the UNC bar at one time. The 2008 game was raucous that night. Both fan bases in one place.

In the middle of a sentence or a thought? Like, do you . . . write or speak . . . with huge gaps for no . . . reason at all . . . except ignorance of the . . . language?
I doubt it . . .
I had a speech impediment for a long time…It carried over with typing…I do speak better though…I do have a little drawl if you know what that means…

I enjoy the debate…

And Jimmy can just go make a streaming show on YouTube and probably gain followers cause fuck our networks

You think this will make maga stop hating you? Lol they need a foil and you are the spineless bitches that don't understand it
I wonder about the economics of that. Rogan did it but this costs have to be a fraction of Kimmel's costs. Mr Beast is making a fortune and his costs are not a fraction of Kimmel's costs.

I definitely think that somebody like Kimmel could pull it off. I don't think it would be quite the same format as a late night show but probably wouldn't be too far off. Would love to see Conan over Jon Stewart give it a try.

Just looked it up and Colbert has a YouTube version of his old show. Hope it works.
