they shouldnt. people think they are important when in reality they are nothing more than a fart in the wind when they are gone even to their family members with due time.

Yep. The right got what they wanted from his death and then forgot all about him and moved on. And so did most average Republicans. I remember reading all those posts right after his death on Facebook from people I knew or had grown up with about how he would never be forgotten and Charlie would always be remembered as virtually a Christian saint and those evil liberals who gunned him down or celebrated his death would be really sorry. And yet I haven't seen a single post about Kirk from those same people since his memorial service ended. MLK's life and example will be celebrated a century from now, Kirk's "legacy" and memory didn't last even a month.
