I agree over the last 2 days. In fact, it has affected me to the point that I had to ask myself what the fuck am I doing getting caught up in it. I have been disgusted with most politicians on the right who have made public comments. I told my son today that if by some chance Nancy Mace is the pub nominee for governor I will have to vote for the D candidate. But I completely disagree with you that it has been that way for a while. There has been plenty to go around from the leftNot only but mostly. And it has been that way for a while. All of it needs to go. The issue is that POTUS and those around him are some of the most egregious offenders.
What's your point? Dem parents don't fail their kids? Seriously, if that isn't it I don't get it. In this case they seemed to have failed him and are now paying a terrible price, as is the country.MAGA parents fail their kids. Look at this example.

Biden - "We're done talking about the debate. It's time to put Trump in a bullseye"
Pelosi, Harris, Biden, Schumer - "Trump is a threat to democracy"
"Today’s political and rhetorical landscape is intensely polarized and fueled by anger, distrust and conspiracy theories. It’s easier to target your political opponents for violence if you see them as “enemies of the nation,” Boyle said." So calling republicans nazis, fascists, etc. is doing just that. How long has the left been using those terms? Since trump 1.0.
My point isn't in keeping score. Its that these past 2 days have been a wake up call for me in that the republican party and democratic party, with the assistance of social media influencers and bots have been taken over by the propensity to use violent rhetoric and the only way to stop it is by a collective effort from the everyday man/woman to reject it in social media and hold politicians accountable. I'm not hopeful.

Here we go with the bo sides crap.Is it your opinion that political rhetoric capable of inciting violence is only coming from the right?
Agreed, but to be fair, it's not just him - calla here and a bunch of other people I've seen on social media (especially facebook) were very quick to jump to conclusions and just stated that the killer was obviously a vile liberal and that Kirk was killed because of his great Christian family values, and he was a martyr for their cause. We're still in the learning stage, but it does seem based on what we do know that the shooter wasn't what Trumpers were expecting he would be. So I expect that we will now see the bosiding "a pox on both your houses" rhetoric pick up steam. This, precisely.
This is why it’s fun rubbing your nose in it, @Ramrouser. Because you do it over and over and over, never learning a lesson. Your first few posts on this thread were to jump to the conclusion that the shooter must have been a transgender left winger, and that “the left” would finally get the civil war that it’s been clamoring for. You make yourself an easy target.
I’ve been out. Has it been announced that the killer had an accomplice?
"But we oppose cancel culture! Really!"1st amendment fuck off!
To be fair, many right wing influencers just this week were talking about how Kirk’s death would be their Reichstag moment. And the Vice President of the United States once called his own current boss “America’s Hitler.” (To my knowledge, no politician in the Democratic Party has even outright called Trump or any other Republican ‘Hitler’).I agree. Now apply that to calling half the country nazis, fascists, racists, etc.
I have no idea who the shooter is but are you really surprised if this turns out to be someone with left wing ideology? What are the other options? Someone who Kirk wronged on an individual basis? Right wing conspiracy led by Trump?
He was apparently hated by far-right extremist groups. Says this twitter account (longer thread on it)
