The Charlie Kirk Thread

Y'all really think the note is not real?
If there are a measurable number of people who think Trump's ear wasn't hit during an assassination attempt, there is a 100% chance that 10x that will believe this not is real simply because Republicans are running the FBI.

Maybe there are geographical differences on this one, but when’s the last time you used the phrase “squad car?”
“Squad car”, “old man”, “my love”, full sentence texting, gay/bi/gun nut kid trafficking in groyper memes, and a maybe furry trans person in the mix who may orient as an anarchocapitalist and dislikes the left for caricaturing trans people?

This terminally online, nihilistic, meme, video game culture is truly a moment of me quietly realizing “old man, you got no clue about the kids.”

Y'all really think the note is not real?
I would assume real if they’re putting the transcript in the charging document. However, it doesn’t read like a text message exchange between 22 year olds. It does, however, succinctly provide everything needed to convict the suspect while absolving the cooperating roommate/girlfriend/boyfriend/baby-mama.

I don’t see what they have to gain by trying to deceive the court, but that hasn’t stopped them from doing so on multiple occasions.
At any rate, those don’t read like the texts of a frothy-mouthed, left-wing, terrorist. They are disturbingly matter of fact and detached from from the gravity of the situation. Murdering a guy is ok but I need to return grandpa’s rifle or he’s gonna be real sore. WTF?

That’s the note that existed, didn’t exist, now exists again…lol.

So this kid who just gave his life away had a clear coherent calm conversation that game motive, confirmed how the weapon was found, a 22 year old called this dude “dear” in this situation and his dad “old man” , is concerned about the gun with everything else and his lover just has calm txt back gathering the story…doesn’t try to help or plead with him to turn himself in.

LOL Kash is a hilarious
Another weird thing about the charging doc before it even gets into the text exchanges:

“On September 10, 2025, the roommate received a text message from Robinson which said, ‘drop what you are doing, look under my keyboard.’ The roommate looked under the keyboard and found a note that stated, ‘I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it.’ Police found a photograph of this note.”

Ok. They found a photograph of the note, but not the note? Why did someone take a photograph of the note, but not keep the note? What was the point of leaving the note if he was going to text him about it anyway? And if he was texting him about it, why did he bother to tell him to look at the note? Also, it appears the note would have had to have been left before the shooting. So why does it say what it says?

I don't have FB so it's not my friends or group commenting.

I see lots of libs commenting on the death basically stating that Kirk had it coming, i.e. he deserved the bullet in his neck.

Others gleefully singing songs sending "thoughts and prayers" to Kirk. While social media may be amplifying this issue I disagree that it is isolated.

There's definitely an assassination culture developing on the left. A September 10, 2025 YouGov poll found that in the immediate aftermath of the Kirk shooting 72% of Americans said violence is never justified, while 11% said it can be sometimes justified. The question asked respondents was whether they think "it is ever justified for citizens to resort to violence in order to achieve political goals." Liberals more likely to say that violence is sometimes justified.

25% of respondents who identified as "very liberal" said violence can sometimes be justified to achieve political goals.

17% of those who identified as "liberal" agreed

9% of moderates agreed

6% of conservatives

3% of very conservative.

Younger Americans were also more likely to say political violence can be justified.

25% of liberals under 45 years agreed with this statement.
Then liberals have a looooooong way to go before they compete with the right’s assassination culture.

So, just catching up after a long day. Is the only thing about this kid that would make him “liberal” is that he is gay? Any other markings of a liberal?

He’s apparently to the left of his mother.

And maybe some of her sister wives.

Mom’s comments
Thanks. That was helpful. I googled and see where she says he starting leaning left, but only used gay and trans rights as an example (in the one article I just read, maybe she said more).
So, at this time it is he is for gay rights. Anything else that makes him “liberal?”

Also Robinson’s text to his boyfriend defines his motive for the killing as he had enough of Kirk’s hatred.

My wife works with a guy who has a trans child (an adult, but his child). He is very conservative, but he loves his adult child and is pro-trans rights. Probably still voted for Trump though, because taxes.

As of September 2025, the feud gained tragic attention after the alleged assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10 at Utah Valley University. The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson (from a conservative Mormon family), reportedly admired Fuentes and hated Kirk for “not being conservative enough” and “spreading hate” (ironically, from a Groyper perspective, Kirk was too soft).

Also Robinson’s text to his boyfriend defines his motive for the killing as he had enough of Kirk’s hatred.
Thanks. I did see those comments, I wonder if it was for anything other than gay or trans rights. So far, I can’t rule out that there is anything “liberal” about this guy other than this one issue.
Fwiw, some pages back I noted when all the Groyper stuff came out that I’d wait a little for the dust to settle before I’d feel confident saying he was alt-right. I’m going to have to see more than him being gay and supporting gay rights to proclaim he is politically on “the left.”
My feeling now is he isn’t really political at all. Just a nutbag who was good with a gun and hated Kirk because of Kirk’s anti-gay and trans stances.
I’m sure more will come out and I guess time will tell.

"Republicans" running the FBI is not a problem. Kash Patel running the FBI, after having run out a lot of the career agents for spurious and/or political reasons, is a problem, for reasons that have to do with both the open partisanship of the agency's leaders and the lack of competence/experience. I have no opinion on whether any piece of evidence is real or not, and the simple fact that the FBI says something is real doesn't mean it's not real, but it is certainly not crazy to apply a heightened level of doubt and scrutiny to anything Patel and his agency say.
