Republicans have worked very hard and very successfully over the past fifty or so years making sure that the words "patriot" and "Christian" are now identified with the Republican Party. Which makes it very easy for them to now label the Democrats (falsely) as the "godless" or "secular" and "anti-American" or "America-hating" party. For nearly all MAGAs in particular if you utter the word Christian they'll immediately identify it with the GOP, and the same is true of patriot. The reality that there are still millions of Christian and patriotic Democrats is completely baffling to them, and they'll refuse to believe it. Only MAGAs "love" America and only MAGAs practice "true" Christianity, whatever that means anymore.
