I had to google it, looks like it was A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour in 1988.The Pink Floyd gig… was that “The Wall” tour?
That would be ironic…
There were 6 of us all told, us three brothers, a cousin and two friends. My older brother actually got caught by one of the ROTC guys and kicked out. He had to wait and scale a fence in some other spot later to get back in.
I never saw him, but one of the ROTC kids got a handful of the back of my jean jacket. I have never thought I was particularly fast, but I must have turned on the afterburners from all the adrenaline, because as soon as I felt him grab me I hauled ass and never looked back and made it out of the end zone woods clean and into the crowd. We were all scattered in six different directions. I have no earthly idea how we found each other again in the concert crowd pre-cellphones. But I guess back then you just found a way.
