Since that is one of the two nights in my life that I don't remember how they ended, I'm not going to argue details. I thought the three played the same night. I know I saw all three, but...
It wasn't my intention to argue details...just sharing my drug addled recollection of 54 years ago

At any rate, I'm just glad to reminisce with a kindred spirit 50 years later who shared my zonked experience🥳

This thread is 60+ pages long and while I haven't read all the pages, I've not seen much that interests me. LOL. The intersection between my music listening and this thread's is pretty small, considering that I have a broad palate, so to speak, and this thread hasn't been limited to one genre.

My eldest son has decided that this song is no longer his favorite or second favorite, as it has been eclipsed by some cheesy metal outfit called Avenged Sevenfold.

One of my 10 year olds has taken quite a liking to this band over the last couple of weeks, and his song is one of his favs

My other 10 year old remains a fan of

Avenged Sevenfold has always been a little cheesy but their early stuff is some of the better 2000s metalcore. This video is such an accurate depiction of the scene back then- takes me right back to Hot Topic and sweaty basement shows:

I remember being so disappointed by the album after this that I threw the CD away after listening to it one time on the home from the record store.

But for my money the best of that bunch will always be Darkest Hour- they’ve had some changes but the current lineup is an insanely talented bunch of musicians and the nicest guys ever. Songwriting is a cut above, too. If you ever have a chance to see them- go.

OK, so this is weird. I thought I had responded to this post but I don't see mine. I thought you had mentioned a band named Sumac, not Darkest Hour. I thought maybe you had responded to my ghost post.

If I didn't respond to you I meant to. Thought i did. Don't understand how I didn't.
