Guilford County schools too. It's because of the possibility of some northerly bands of snow moving through. Given the temps anything that falls will stick and make roads slick pretty quickly.

There was a liquid de-icer truck spraying the streets in Charlotte today, but I didn’t know precipitation was in the forecast.

I was following a little too close, so my car should be well-prepped with the de-icer.

The half-inch snow apocalypse of 2005 in Raleigh made everyone extremely leery of any possibility of snow during the day. The roads were truly an ice rink that day.

Charlotte was the same. My employer sent people home at like 3, so did everywhere else. It took me 4 hours to make the 15-20 minute drive home.
