Looks like all the fun stuff is going to be in VA and farther north next week. All NC is going to get is cold rain. It's going to be miserable next week.
 
The weather in NC today is miserable. 30s and rain. Give me snow over this, or sunny and warm.

Maybe there's another shot at snow coming down the road.

Definitely a storm signal around the 20th. Canadian and ICON colder with huge storm on the Canadian for NC. GFS warmer. And looked like the UK was going to deliver the goods.
 
I will never, ever trust the Canadian model again after its epic hype (and later fail) on on the Jan 22nd storm.

Yeah, I’m just saying that clown map from the Canadian that you posted earlier today is not even remotely worth considering. I will forever discount that model now. Euro is a different story though…
 
Now seeing more ice mixing in. The lack of a good snow in this state is annoying as Hell. Thanks for crappy weather, Trump
 
TWC does have some ice early but total accumulation of snow from 5-11 inches over the 30 hours
 
GFS had a huge storm with its run earlier tonight. All of the models have a winter storm in some form for the 20th.

Well, after that awesome GFS run this time yesterday, everything has been trending to ice and rain the last 24 hours.

The last GFS run had this for freezing rain.
