What is up with this winter where the NC coast gets all the best snow?

Radar showing snow here in Triad, but air is too dry to make it to ground yet. My Weather and Climate Professor Dodd taught us, that is called sublimation. Sublimation is when a solid goes directly from solid to a gas, skipping a transformation to liquid first. Same thing occurs when snow disappears from ground below freezing.

The snowpack might shrink, but the mountain of snow covering half the parking lot at Target is there til April!

Snowing good here in Charlotte but it’s 35 so not much is lasting.

Warm weather yesterday did it's job for the roads today for the most part.
