I don't think this will create waves so big that the best surfers in the world wouldn't surf them, but it could be very wet in terms of water.
Yep. That's a Texas high pressure summer ridge. Frequent storms will flow around the top of it in a clockwise direction. For here it means: TOO DAMN HOT.
 
Particularly violent thunderstorm just passed over SW Orange County. I’ve never heard and/or been so close to such enormous thunderclaps and lightning.

Storm appears headed straight to Carrboro and Chapel Hill. No big winds. Did blow out an LED bulb and two wi-fi devices.

Yeah it's just winding down on the south side of Chapel Hill. Lightning was crazy.

It was a loud storm for sure

Meanwhile this morning was a pleasant change of pace!!!
 
Even Kelly, the Kerr County judge remarked that this “old law partner” – U.S. Sen. John Cornyn – had told him that if the county did not spend the money it would go back to blue states.
