The trees in our Hillsborough neighborhood are clear and the sleet is not "wet" so we are lucky so far👃

We are a bit anxious about what is to come over the next 24 hours and hope we can dodge a power outage.
It's funny how many of us live so close to each other

Nothing on the trees though? It's not heavy on the trees but they definitely have a little coating here

Just a minute ago in Chapel Hill. Sleeting pretty good suddenly. Looks like it it’s gonna stop pretty soon on Weatherunderground. I sure hope so!

My bad...I did not mean to imply that our limbs are dry. I meant that the trees have not yet been impacted by the thin ice on them.

Oh ok..I was like how is it so different here? But yeah trees not impacted. Hope it stays that way. It's pretty though.

Looks like 1-2" of a snow sleet mix on the ground.

Light in Charlotte, Elizabeth. None in the trees, dusting on the grass with the main accumulation on the sidewalks & streets.
I lived in Elizabeth for nearly 7 years in a little section right off of Hawthorne & 7th, so just a few blocks from Presbyterian Hospital. One of the great things about living right there, being so close to the hospital, was that we pretty much never lost power. If we ever did, it would be turned right back on in no time.

haven't even begun to clear off my cars. My neighbors have and what they don't realize is the ice will make them more difficult to clear shit off. I can already hear them scraping
