Mike Maze on WRAL said the second round will be freezing rain in the Triangle. We'll see. They called for twice as much freezing rain from the main system than the National Weather Service and that didn't happen.

Freezing rain and sleet mix right now — fine but coming down fast. Every now and then it sounds like someone is throwing handfuls of gravel on the roof.

Coming down hard now in Cornelius. Can barely tell that’s the lake behind the house. I keep going upstairs frequently to make sure that I’m still hearing sleet bouncing off of the skylight haha. Just absolutely do not want freezing rain. #EffICE

Yeah, there is nothing happening where I live and WRAL is forecasting chances of freezing rain from now to midnight... just praying no power outage over the next 12 hours

All quiet in Cary as well. Just finished teaching a 4 hour online CE course. People seemed thankful we still ran it. It was a nice distraction from being trapped. Had 49 registered and only 2 who didnt show due to power/internet.
