Future radar looks nasty in the Triangle between 1 and 3. Wonder if the watch will be extended.

Y’all be safe in the Tar Heel state today. That line of storms that’s coming through Carolina kicked our tails in Alabama last night. Outside of some of the hurricanes I’ve experienced, I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced such high sustained winds as we had all throughout yesterday evening and overnight. Thankfully no tornado activity where I live.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools canceled classes today due to the storms. I’m pretty sure the worst of it passed us (here in Charlotte) about an hour ago. It wasn’t that bad. There was some hard rain and strong winds that lasted for maybe 5 minutes. Apart from that it was just very rainy. Not nearly as bad as dozens of other storms we get every year. Parents with kids in CMS are pissed.

I guess this kind of falls into weather, maybe, but in NC be forewarned...

The Pollening has begun. Saw the yellow in puddle edges yesterday evening.

Looks like some nice weather here the next few days. I wonder how long it'll be before our next severe threat.

Level 3 threat out of 5 for severe weather today from NC down to the LA coast.

Wish we could just get a nice few days of rain showers instead of these severe storms and downpours.

It's cloudy here. Doubt we'll see much in the way of severe storms if we don't get some sun beforehand.

Sun has been in and out this afternoon. 80 and humid. Looks like we have the juice needed for storms.
