The most classically North Carolina weather experience: early forecasts of a big snow, those forecasts gradually eroded by adjustments to the forecasts that move warm air further north from the gulf, ending in something that will not be remotely fun or pretty but just an icy, rainy mess.

And next weekend we get to do it all over again.

And one day we will get a good snow again... And until then I'll keep being a sucker

Come on up here to New England! We're getting 15+ inches of nothing but snow later this weekend. And temperatures in the single digits every night for the next week. What fun. Y'all don't know what you're missin'

Yup. I moved my chickens into the garage coop today. They'd survive it, but they'll be more comfortable this way. They better thank me for it.

Yup Nova Scotia. Right now they are talking about 10 " of snow on Monday, but single digits Fº tonight and tomorrow.

I've always said that I'd never live anywhere that snow is prevalent. But given our current predicament, I'd move there in a heartbeat.

Our weather is usually milder than Boston's, thanks to the ocean currents, but you do still get snow. August- November is beautiful though.
