Looks like a bummer for the triangle in the latest 😭

Well I typed that and then it just went up 4 inches lol

It seems nearly impossible we don't get 3 inches of pretty fluffy snow
That doesn't suck for around here
And we still might get 10
 
Small piece of advice to those who want schools back in sessions ASAP. Kinda obvious, but easy to overlook.

Live near a school? Check the parking lot. Has it been cleared? Has it been plowed?

If not, you're nowhere near school coming back in person. If the teachers/adminstrators/staff can't park, they can't teach.

Until the school parking lots are cleared, you're not gonna get kids back there.

What would it cost a handful of concerned parents to pay the guy who takes care of Food Lion's pristine, dry parking lot to put in some off-hours time at my school ;)
 
Some places will get a lot. Some will get less. And they have no damn idea where it will be exactly but the state will get snow all over.

Sounds about right.

That January 2000 storm they called for 2-4 inches. We got 24

I think the issue this time is that the storm really won't last all that long in many places - starts after midnight and will be finished by 6 PM tomorrow for the most part. Add in the dry spots they're expecting and we're probably going to see the widest variation in snow totals from a storm that we've seen in a long time. I remember one year (a good while ago) there was a snowstorm where eastern Guilford County got around 15 inches of snow and Forsyth County not far to the west got less than half that.
