And then worse in January 1966, when it snowed at least once a week in Western NC in January, including these two statewide storms at the back end:







My parents talked endlessly about the impact of that snowy winter of ‘66.

GFS model is back to showing a winter storm for NC 1/11-1/12. Models are showing another storm 1/15-1/16. That's way down the road but just shows there is a lot of potential coming up.

This is great - i can be disappointed three separate times over the course of ten days!
