Friend of mine dropped by yesterday and dropped off some Finca Kilimanjaro coffee he had just freshly roasted. I really like their coffees.
 
Old dorm buddy coming down from Lake Janes today to vist. 54 years is a long but satisfying life. We will stories and laugh.

When will we stop allowing practices designed to increase the bandage of debt on the segment of the population that can least afford it?

This money above all mentality is a huge issue that our country seems to simply accept.

I don't use any of the food delivery services because I believe that the drivers are not properly compensate.

This is as bad as payday loans. The people who would use this are those who can least afford it.

World's oldest llama enjoys comforting chronically ill children in North Carolina
A bucktoothed llama that spends his days comforting chronically ill children at a North Carolina camp founded by NASCAR royalty has been crowned the world’s oldest llama in captivity.

At 27 years and more than 250 days, the selfie- and snuggle-loving llama called Whitetop dethroned Dalai Llama, the Guinness World Records announced last week. Dalai lived on a ranch in Albuquerque and was announced as the oldest in 2023 shortly after his 27th birthday.

Whitetop was donated to the Victory Junction camp in 2006, just two years after race car driver Kyle Petty — the son of NASCAR great Richard Petty — and his family founded the camp in honor of Petty’s own son, Adam, who was 19 when he was killed in a 2000 crash while practicing for a race.

The year-round free camp sits on 84 acres (34 hectares) in the Petty hometown of Randleman, North Carolina, about 75 miles (121 kilometers) west of Raleigh. It’s designed for children with conditions that include cancer, kidney and heart disease, cerebral palsy, Spina Bifida and an array of neurological and physical disabilities.

I got slack this winter. I've been doing some weeding and planting this week and have much more to do. Did two hours day before yesterday planting 17 blue lobelias and three today going to war with Japanese wisteria, Looks like I may have gotten about 80% of it last year. I'm trying to catch the emergent plants this year and spot poison the roots after I cut them off. I've also got 2-3 roots stubs bigger than my wrist that I left after cutting the wisteria going overhead. I had to cut where I could reach when I did that. I think I'll cut them close and drill a hole down the middle and put a teaspoon or so of herbicide in and see what happens. Then only another 56 plants to arrive and whatever grows form the 800 seeds I planted in trays. My success rate on that is looking pretty bad but It's early yet.
