Not that. Saying he wouldn't support the bill.
Meh. It’s not uncommon for party leadership to give someone a pass for voting no if a yes might put their seat in danger. Tillis was already facing an uphill battle so I doubt his No wasn’t blessed by Thune.

Tillis told Trump to ‘start thinking about my replacement’ before primary threat

“… According to a text shared with The Hill between Trump and Tillis, the North Carolina lawmaker told the president as much at 9:54 p.m. EDT on Saturday — seven minutes before Trump’s Truth Social post.

“Ack Mr. President,” Tillis said in the message. “Start thinking about my replacement.”

… His opposition seemed to enrage Trump, who on Sunday afternoon, prior to Tillis’s announcement but after the text message, said Tillis had harmed North Carolina and called him “a talker and complainer, NOT A DOER!”…”

I do have to apologize to Tillis for calling him T(hom)ACO …

Is too early for Roy Cooper to announce ?

If Roy doesn't want to run, then who ?

Jeff Jackson ? and turn the AG over to Laura Howard should he win the Senate race ?

My only plea is don't let Chuck Schumer pick the candidate...

Wiley Nickel already announced I mean he would be good-but Roy likely adds a few % pts for the Dems

Let’s just say I worked closely enough to see why he shouldn’t be anywhere near the U.S. Senate.
would love some elaboration on this. Not asking for any inside info or trade secrets, but rather your observations about anything that can reasonably be considered in the public domain about this guy that you think disqualifies him. I know nothing about him...

What is “the church?”
In his case "the church" will likely turn out to be whatever scam or bogus products or services he can offer to the rubes who are dumb enough to listen to his show and actually believe what he's saying. I suspect that Mr. Robinson is a full member of the Gospel of Wealth branch of American Christianity.

Schumer: "Is Jim Hunt still living? He's 88? Oh hell, he's still a spring chicken! They love them some Jim Hunt down there! Even though he hasn't been governor in a quarter-century let's get that man the nomination right now. What, there's some guy named Jeff Jackson who is interested? I've heard that name before, but I don't trust any candidate under 50. Tell Jackson to wait until 2028 - and I'll probably find some reason to bypass him then too."

I prefer someone who has won a statewide political office. I think Roy or Jeff Jackson would be a shoo-in no matter who the GQPers ran
