Granted that she stumbled a bit initially as she articulated her response to the question, but I have no problem with her response itself. In fact, I agree with her rather nuanced answer.

Now just imagine the rambling inane answer Trump would have given which would have included that he won the 2020 election.

Interesting comment. I doubt you realize this, but it actually helps us understand a little more just how deep you've sunk into the right wing fever swamps.

I have no issue criticizing AOC for her comments about Taiwan in Munich. Regardless of the substance, she was pretty clearly not prepared for the question, and that's critique-worthy. It's also true, however, that (1) AOC has virtually no power over US foreign policy at the moment, and (2) 99% of the people who appear to be talking about her comments are doing so in right wing disinformation circles. The latter is not surprising, given the former.

Since you've raised this issue, though, how about you let us know your thoughts on the following recent comments about Taiwan from a man who DOES, in fact, have ultimate power over US foreign policy. In particular, let us know if you think these comments are more or less impactful to our decades-long Taiwan strategy than the "word salad" AOC offered us in Munich.

Or why couldn't Putin use that argument, same argument -- it's a threat -- to grab the rest of Ukraine, or go beyond into other former Soviet states? No, because this is, this was a real threat. You didn't have people pouring into China. You didn't have drugs pouring into China. You didn't have all of the bad things that we've had. You didn't have the jails of Taiwan opened up and the people pouring into China. There aren't that many people in the jails, but you didn't have hundreds of thousands of people coming from jails and mental institutions. Pouring into China, or pouring into Russia.

Well, it's a source of pride for him. He considers it to be a part of China, and that's up to him, what he's going to be doing. But, you know, I've expressed to him that I would be very unhappy if he did that, and I don't think he'll do that. I hope he doesn't do that.

BTW this thread is about Trump Admin propaganda, not about AOC (though feel free to carry on with AOC related conversations in a new or related thread).
 
Well posters are commenting on Rubio's speech at the Munich Security Conference so I was asking why no comment on AOC's question and answer session. While AOC may not currently have actual power over foreign policy she is a leading candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination and this event was designed to showcase her foreign policy credentials.

I'll drop it as per your request.

I know right? Black Irish culture couldn't possibly exist alongside Protestant English/Germans, much less that of Italian Papists. Certainly Chinamen/Japanese/Koreans would be unable to cope with Western civilization and fail to prosper while polluting 'our' culture. Don't even get me started on the Jews and Bohunks from central European hellholes.

No 'different' culture has ever been compatible with the 'culture' of this land, much less flourished. History is certainly crystal clear on that account.
