I think what he is saying is, sometimes you have to make a choice, a hard one, and if there are people in this country who need the exact same help as people in other countries and there is only so much money to go around, then the US's responsibility is to make sure our citizens are taken care first and foremost before we try to take care of anyone else.
Except you fuckers never do that. Ever. In fact you try to hurt people, rather than care for them. The most recent budget slashes medical services to the most needy communities.

So stop fucking lying. You're bad at it.

So, the CliffNotes version is, you don't know shit but are just regurgitating what you are told by the people who need you to remain in a state of not knowing shit so you will continue voting against your own self-interest? Got it.
Actually, I looked up the case on which the allegation of book-cooking is based. I read all the publicly available information about the case, including the "whistleblower's" call with the sergeant about whom she complained. All of it. And from that, I judged that the claim was bullshit because she was complaining about a single charging decision that seemed entirely reasonable. Oh, and they were downgrading thefts of less than $25 from "theft II" to a lesser offense; max of 180 days versus max of 90 days.

So, what have you looked up? What's your research? Oh.

See, here's the problem: you MAGAs assume that everyone else is like you, glued to your TV news propaganda. Some of us actually know things, and when we don't know them, we go out and learn them. I don't take anything at face value, if I can help it. I always check the primary sources.

I know this, money is money no matter how you add it up and when you spend more than you have you get in debt. And we have gotten great at spending more than we have.
Are you going to try to get the answer right this time, or do you need it explained to you like a small child?

“… Documents obtained by FOX News show planning for activations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wyoming – with status effective from August through mid-November. Texas is projected to host the most significant Guard presence.

The National Guard soldiers being mobilized will effectively serve as a support pillar to a sweeping federal interagency effort, while also serving as a visible deterrent force, a U.S. Defense official said. The service members supporting ICE will be preforming case management, transportation, logistical support, and clerical functions associated with the processing of illegal migrants at the facilities. …”

So the DC occupation is not about crime, it's about rounding up brown people ? That makes more sense to me...

1700 across 19 states … is not very many.
I agree (and it may be more like quite a lot in Texas and a handful elsewhere). It may be mostly performative by governors who want a piece of the law and order glow … but it also could be a first, gentle step to get people used to the idea of using military for internal policing ahead of much more substantial actions.

So...this would be the perfect time between nationalizing law enforcement, crippling USAid, and Tulsi at the DNI helm to attack the United States from the outside.

“I Like Ike counterparts” = ILICs = RINOs. That ‘52 screed could have been written by a more well-heeled MAGA yesterday, though ironically the ‘25 MAGA want to take us back to their imagined paradise of ‘52 (at least).

Way farther back than that - the 1890s.

“… Caputo said he suspects one factor driving Trump in D.C. is a desire to ensure that the city is ready to host next year’s commemoration of the country’s 250th anniversary. “We will increase tourism because of the news coverage of what he’s doing in D.C.,” Caputo said. “People who would like to come are watching and they’re more likely to visit during the celebration. This is about ‘America 250.’” …”

The beautification part of his agenda is consistent with decades of being a gadfly about public spaces in NYC and seems mostly harmless if he would limit his intrusion to that (though his press to just replace rather than repair streets sounds like a wasteful slap
some paint on it corner-cutting that will cost more in the long run).
