Along with pointing out just how unamerican this Trump publicity stunt is, I want Democrats to point out how weak Republicans are on gun control and the direct involvement firearms have on violent crime. If the pubs want to talk up how tough they are on crime..., make them defend their positions on gun control (lack of).

Focus on that and blunt their tough on crime bs.
They’ll respond with BS tales about good guys with guns stopping bad guys.

It’ll resonate with their base AND “Independents” and “moderates.”

Rubio said earlier, “this is not a staged production” completely unprompted while he was talking about the Alaskar disaster.

Sometimes these guys just give the whole game away. This isn’t about doing anything other than getting pics and clips of the military on American streets. It’s a “staged production”. The reality show presidency.

Given the number of Fox News talking heads he's appointed to high government positions, it certainly fits.

Another threat to expand federal takeover of Blue City policing …

“… Apparently continuing that tough-on-protest posturing, over the weekend, an eight-person ICE patrol briefly paused its crime fighting to destroy a pro-immigration sign in Mount Pleasant, one of the city’s most prominent Latino neighborhoods.

He then added in Spanish, “Esto es par America. Los Estados Unidos el número uno. Estamos tornando a traves de nuevo,” or “This is for America. The United States is number one. We are turning things around again.”

As the group walked away, they left the dildo, which they apparently deemed less offensive than the sign that had been covering it.…”

“… The Department of Homeland Security did not answer questions from The Post on Saturday about whether authorities had reason to believe Carias Torres had a violent criminal history and did not respond to follow-up questions requesting information about the Maryland traffic crimes.

… The White House reported 72 immigration arrests from Wednesday through Friday. That’s more than half of all arrests made as part of the federal crackdown over those three days, according to White House figures.

… In her statement, McLaughlin said “because of this increase in violence against them and doxing of their spouses and children,” officers often wear masks to protect themselves and their families from being targeted. She said that federal agents at the incident “did identify themselves and had their badges clearly visible.”

But during the arrest, witnesses — including the Post reporter — asked the officers to identify themselves numerous times. All but one, who was wearing the ICE badge, refused.

“Oh, are you guys the cops?” one agent, who was wearing a hat and a mask, responded. “Then shut the f--- up.”

Torres was initially forced to the ground by two officers, including one who appeared to use a stun gun, according to video and witness accounts.

Two black unmarked police vehicles — an SUV with a Maryland license plate and a sedan — pulled onto R Street NW and more officers swarmed. As they tackled the man to the ground, one of the officers fell, clutched his head and was dragged out by a colleague.

Eventually, two of the officers escorted the detained man into the back seat of the unmarked SUV, where there was another altercation.
As the agents climbed into their vehicles and prepared to drive away, one witness yelled, “You’re ruining this country!”

“Liberals already ruined it,” one officer responded.

Zampaglione [a witness and longtime DC resident] said he never heard the agents ask the delivery driver for his name or ID.

No D.C. police officers were at the scene of the arrest, according to Lt. Patrick Loftus, a D.C. police spokesperson. He said he did not know what agency the officers were with.

D.C. police are required by local law to display their badge and nameplate and are prohibited from hiding their badge from the public. Internal D.C. police department policies also require officers to provide their name and badge number in writing to anyone who asks.…”

this is so, so, so wildly and unbelievably unacceptable.
