Trump Assassination Attempt Investigations

Ryan Routh. What a fucking clown. Never even got remotely close to achieving his objective. Now he's going to spend the rest of his days rotting in a cell. Play stupid games...
I'd make a joke that my grandma could make a better attempt, and she's dead... but I fear some ICE death squad might show up at her grave and dig her up to put a bullet into her corpse...

I think it’s hilarious that people believe that the same man who has had enormous bruises on both hands for months from “”” shaking hands””” or “”” bumping into tables””” also miraculously had an ear that was supposedly hit by AR-15 bullet shrapnel but mysteriously healed overnight with no scarring and no sign to speak of that it was ever injured in the first place.

I had been suspecting for a while that the “assassination attempt” in Butler was staged bullshit, but Trump basically confirmed it last week when his immediate response to Ilhan Omar being attacked was to say that she staged/faked it for political points.

Whatever it was, at least the man in charge of security that day got a promotion out of it. I thought Trump might judge him very harshly after such a catastrophic failure.

I don't think there's any evidence that the shooter in Butler was staged. I think the whole post-shooting event timeline was suspicious, and there might well have been a coverup as to the extent or exact nature of Trump's injuries. Almost certainly Trump was exaggerating his injury but 'it was staged" doesn't hold up to minimum scrutiny.

Also, I'll grant that your wife is a physician and I am not, but I'm not convinced 'easy bruising on hands" implies "ear can't heal.'

Yeah, I should rephrase, I don’t mean to say that it was like an actual false flag thing, but rather grossly exaggerated. I think there was a legitimate assassination attempt on Trump‘s life, I just don’t think he was hit by any part of a round fired by an AR-15. And the reason I made the comparison to the bruises is because someone who is 80 years old whose body clearly does not heal and recover quickly from something as routine as an intravenous injection, almost certainly did not sustain damage from AR-15 shrapnel because even as quickly as several days or a week later in his public appearances, there was no evidence of a bad injury on his ear.

i thought it had been pretty definitively established and agreed upon by all of us living on earth 1 that trump's "wound" was from a shard of something else that got hit by a bullet striking his ear? the podium, perhaps?

I don't know if it was definitive but I think a lot of people felt that way. I think a lot of other people didn't really care that much. The main story was the assassination attempt not if glass or a bullet clipped his ear.

The guy was a few inches from losing his life and the country was a few inches from immense turmoil and conspiracy theories for the next 100 years.

Given how vain Trump is, I highly doubt he would have agreed to appeared in public with an absurd looking bandage on his ear if he weren't injured. Trump may have exaggerated certain things, but he really cares about his appearance (even though his spray tan is absolutely goofy -- he thinks it looks good).

The man literally dressed up like a traffic cone and rode in a garbage truck, and called the media to witness it.

His victimization complex is greater than his vanity.

We aren't in turmoil now with him alive?

I personally at this point do think it was entirely staged and engineered. His reaction immediately afterward and the fact that everyone associated with security that day hasn't been eliminated from Secret Service just trip my "bullshit" meter.
