Trump in August:
From the day I take the oath of
office, we'll rapidly drive prices
down, and make America
affordable again. Prices will
come down. You just watch
They'll come down and they'll
come down fast."

Trump now:
"It's hard to bring things down
once they're up. You know, it's
very hard."
Similar to Trump's lies about healthcare during the 2016 Presidential campaign.

"You're gonna have better healthcare at a fraction of the price" or some bullshit like that. A couple months later it's "nobody knew healthcare could be so complicated" and then Pubs actively worked to strip millions of Americans of their healthcare, only to be thwarted by John McCain.

Seems like something a lot of people have been saying here for a long time now.

Whenever Trump flip flops or moves the goal posts , it should be pointed out that that his promise was never based on a PLAN in the first place. A promise is always flawed without an explanation of how you're going to get it done. NOTE: he still didn't say how he was going to do it.

Perhaps a few voters will catch on.

Plan is coming in two weeks.

This is yet another example why liberals must compete in the media ecosystem.

The American people, frankly, are morons. They don't know their heads from their rectums.

The media is so against liberals and Democrats, it's no wonder dumbass Americans thought he'd do something about inflation.

It will never happen, but I'd love for a politician with great charisma to just dress us down at some time.

Tell us that they're done with the coddling. Done with the "feels."

And just dress us down! Tell us how fucking spoiled we are and how stupid we are.

Again, will never happen. But one can dream. We're such a decadent, spoiled society.

Once the tariffs hit, grocery prices will be on the rise again. Fun fun.

You know, I've lost count of the number of people who come here (or on the old IC ZZLP) and say something along the lines of "I don't support/didn't vote for Trump, but" and they proceed over the course of their posts here to do nothing but attack liberals, bosides constantly and insist that there is no real difference between Trump and any Democratic politician or they just downplay nearly everything Trump does as being not so bad as reported, and generally seem to agree with Trumper positions far more than they do liberal ones. But they're not really a Trumper at all. Really.
