Following right-winger/fascist logic on the issue of divine intervention, one might say that god kept Hitler alive as punishment for all Nazis, as by doing so it ensured that Germany would suffer a crushing and total defeat by the Allies and many Nazis would be killed in the process. Same as the Civil War lasting so long here - the Union had several chances to destroy Lee's army and failed, but by doing so it ensured that the war would last long enough for the entire South to be overrun, conquered, and the slaves to be freed.
Not that I agree with their line of reasoning - I don't - but if you really believe that god keeps certain people or movements alive, it stands to reason that it could be as a punishment as much as salvation. A lot of MAGAs are suffering under Dear Leader's rule, and the longer he goes the worse it gets. Using their own beliefs maybe Trump stays alive as a punishment to them for voting such an un-Christian person into office, and doing it twice. Again, I don't believe that, but within their world view it fits.
