You should really read up on things before you make an ass of yourself.

Legalization + funding for social supports = fewer overdose deaths, fewer ER visits, fewer police arrests/decreased jail populations, decreased violence, etc.

Americans get hung up on the “funding for social supports” part of the equation, because the righties have turned it into a morality issue, claiming that it’d be tantamount to using tax dollars to promote drug use.

These tech bros who are taking over the government, especially all the ones calling for Cold War 2.0, well isn't it interesting how so many of them also have defense startups / companies and want to get ahold of more defense contracts, such as Joe Lonsdale, Palmer Luckey, Elon himself, among many others? Maybe you've never researched just who financially backed SpaceX, but a lot of equity funding (especially funding that has kept Elon liquid at times when he was clearing being squeezed by the Feds) comes from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. There's also never been a shortage of Russian mob money that's surrounded Elon World.

I am personally very concerned about how much power these tech bros are having over our future, however, I'm more worried about how these tech bros are also subject to the interests of foreign influence within their own companies, who are receiving OUR defense contracts. Elon is clearing out the government obviously for his own interests at the end of the day. Now, is it really that hard for you to imagine that it might be in the interest of let's say India, who may or may not have financial interests (through people whom they control) in defense startups in Silicon Valley (I honestly haven't done the research but I'm sure it exists). Furthermore, is it also so crazy to be concerned that these defense startups who have foreign investment then also have connections to JD Vance, by way of Usha? This is all happening out in the open right now via Elon, so its not such a fantastical premise. Why all the sudden are there so many Indians tied into the GOP? It's worth exploring, and its not racist to do so. Frankly I'd like to know more about Kash Patel and Vivek Ramaswamy's family too because Vivek literally ran a pharma scam to make his money, that doesn't just happen accidentally. The family is going to be involved in raising someone who thinks dishonestly about the world, that the ends justify the means. So no, I don't trust Usha just because she is brown, I have questions.
 
Oh yeah this no doubt the most mobbed up administration since the 1960's. They're just so bad at it I can only hope their incompetence shines through for this administration.

Trump said they intend deport 20 million illegal immigrants. At their current pace that will take 44 years.

I wouldn't get too hung up on these labels when it comes to China, they dont practice Communism there, its more like a lifestyle brand to neuter the class discussions entirely in China as nothing in modern China is remotely communist. Arguably China is perhaps the most fascist country in the world today given the whole ethnic Han supremacist worldview going on, not to mention the obsession with genetics and CRISPR technology, etc. It's very complicated to understand internal power dynamics of China as an outsider, and who maps to whom, but there are generally 3 main power factions: the Princeling faction (Xi Jinping), the Shanghai Clique (formerly Deng Xiaoping's faction), and the Communist Youth League faction (Hu Jintao and Li Keqiang's faction). A way to understand it is Xi Jinping is more like the MAGA/Trump faction of America, Shanghai Clique was more akin to Bush-Era Republicans, and the Communist Youth League were more like the Clinton/Obama technocratic centrists.

You could imagine a situation where Usha's involvement in China isn't about her being communist, but more linking with Xi Jinping's power network, which at the time she was there would have been the weakest of the three factions. I don't think it's an accident all these nationalists emerged when they did across multiple countries, there is clearly a global cooperative network going on here, especially when you consider that Shinzo Abe and Xi Jinping both took charge about 4 weeks apart, in the same year (2012) which Putin took charge in Russia. Modi then took charge about 18 months later. Just saying, its not an accident all these things happened when they happened, there was obviously a very coordinated, rather shadowy effort to bring these four populist nationalists to power within a 2 year window, which clearly had the ripple effect on accelerating Trump's rise soon after.

They are already claiming it is because Trump is so respected and feared that immigrants quit coming and many here self-deported rather than face his wrath.

I do thing a lot of immigrants without legal status have become much more cautious about movements in public — gone to ground to the extent possible so as not to be an easy target and hoping that they won’t be nabbed at work. Not sure how long that will last.

I heard a story on CNN this morning about a permanent legal resident and military veteran who was nabbed by ICE on January 22 and remains in detention today even though he and his wife have documented his legal resident status.
