Visiting the Academy in Florence. Long ass lines of 2+ hours if you're lucky. Or you can pay the Skip The Line Tour at 3-4x the rate, and get shown in without much of a wait. Everyone knows the Academy artificially manipulates the line (reservation process, speed of flow, warnings, etc) to prop up the STL tours and everyone gets greased along the way.

When I went to the Academy in 21, they had reservation times and the wait was maybe 30 minutes. Perhaps that was a post-Covid thing, but I don't remember that long of a wait in 95 either. Maybe you have gotten unlucky on your Florence trips if 2+ hours is a short wait for you.

It's the old stuff that costs out the ass. If you have older units that still need the old freon it's very expensive because there is very limited supply (intentionally).

Rug pulled. It’s a market manipulation fraud that is common in crypto and is exactly Trump did with his coin then subsequent launch of the Melania coin.

That visit was in Spring 2023 when tourism started to swell post Covid. Time of year also impacts the length of line. We had looked at reservation slots and they were all booked...out of curiosity I checked, the whole month was booked.
I went in the early 90s and it was not an issue back then.

Just not the Academy, plenty of other places do it as well (Vatican, Sagrada Familia, etc). There are places that have big crowds, but finding a reservation is not a big problem.

True. The new stuff is more expensive than the old stuff was, but yes, the old stuff is now currently way more expensive than it was. Thank you for helping me clarify.

Hey MAGAssholes, care to comment on this? You're always so heartbroken by the stories of people who followed the rules and waited in line . . . surely this upsets you, correct? Because you're in favor of legal immigration, just not the illegal stuff, right? Or did you guys finally abandon that lie when Trump gave you cover?
