In many of these LatAm countries (certainly in CR) you need legislative or executive approval for foreign military vessels to enter.

Deportation flights have gone off without a hitch all over Latin America. Trump wanted to do it this way (which while we're at it is much more expensive to the US taxpayer).

China had already made great inroads in the last two decades of American distraction (since 9/11, LatAm foreign policy was on the back burner). china has much greater influence economically across the region. Trade wars across Latin America only benefits them.

Colombia's number one export to the US? Oil. No wonder MAMA wants to drill.

Colombia? Really? I had thought Venezuela had all the oil, and that Colombia kinda got screwed by the shale. Shows what I know. Ain't no geologist.

What's going to happen at the end of this is a permanent change in the world's reserve currency. I would also expect some countries explore the idea of prohibiting the use of dollars as collateral (except possibly for dollar->dollar deals). You have to prohibit it or there's a first mover problem, but I gotta think everyone would feel much better if there were a trillion euros worth of repos worldwide as opposed to a trillion dollars.

Maybe South Korea, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, and Philippines can create an Asian NATO. They need India. As long as India has its own Trump, India is fucked. Which means most of Asia is fucked.

Also, Pompeo has been out-of-the-news since 1/20/21……the Iranians likely have forgotten him.

Form a mental picture of Mike Pompeo? Can you? He could be in my kitchen right now and I’d have ask him, “Who are you?”

John Bolton? He might be a bit more in danger because he’s such a camera whore. Still, if he shaved the porn stach, he’s good to go.

Who in America wants to kill Pompeo or Bolton?

The MAGAts that occupied/surrounded the Michigan Capitol or the Oregon Wildlife Refuge?

A significant percentage would harm Fauci.
