Well, I am 100% sure any cuts would be grandfathered in. Politicians aren't going to cut SS benefits for existing recipients. So your parents have nothing to worry about and they can continue to hate the godless Dems.My parents live off of their social security payments and Medicare covering most of their medical costs. They would still find a way to blame the godless Dems.
And this is true of both men in that photo.Until he figured out he was unable to use them as a vehicle to undermine the government
As someone who is just a few years from retirement age I just hope they don't cut it for people who are close to retirement (actually I hope they don't cut or alter it at all, but that seems very unrealistic at this point). That's been my fear for awhile - that I'll get close to retirement age and they'll cut Social Security, and while I do have some other retirement funds I'll likely still need my Social Security to be fully comfortable. I'm wondering at this point if I'll ever be able to retire.Well, I am 100% sure any cuts would be grandfathered in. Politicians aren't going to cut SS benefits for existing recipients. You are talking about people that think retirement shouldnt exist and people should love work and work until they die.As someone who is just a few years from retirement age I just hope they don't cut it for people who are close to retirement (actually I hope they don't cut or alter it at all, but that seems very unrealistic at this point). Leon and tRump won't ever need SS. Why would they care about ordinary people who do?You are talking about people that think retirement shouldnt exist and people should love work and work until they die.
I hate Elon with a ridiculous passion.
Gen X may quickly get bitten...and was the biggest Trump supporting generation, sadly.
Plans are good to have. Fallback plans are worth it, too. I planned to be semiretired and do small carpentry projects all my life. It would keep me active and I'd make a little money and do only stuff I enjoyed. An essential tremor at 63 actually put me in early retirement. While that has improved, it's still enough to prevent me regaining much in the way of usable skills.Leon and tRump won't ever need SS. Why would they care about ordinary people who do?
I do plan to work until I die but hope to be able to work less someday.
How? Those comments are predictive, not statements of prior fact. And Patel is about as public a figure as you can get right now. Any lawsuit would be pure — oh what’s that word??? — lawfare.Depending on the exact quote, that does sound defamatory.
Olivia Troye said on MSNBC this week that Patel would “lie about intelligence” and “lie about making things up on operations” if confirmed by the Senate. According to NewsNation partner The Hill, Troye said Patel would “put the lives of Navy SEALs at risk” as the director of the FBI.
So if you’re ok with it, maybe you can explain the logic behind protecting noncitizens who were brought here as children by undocumented parents, but deporting citizens who were born here to undocumented parents? Thanks in advance, because I can’t figure it out.Not sure how I feel about birthright citizenship but, depending on the costs of the execution, I don't see anything wrong with this plan, if accurate.
Trump aims to deport all immigrants in the US illegally
WASHINGTON, Dec 8 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump aims to deport all immigrants in the U.S. illegally over his four-year term but wants a deal to protect so-called "Dreamer" immigrants, he said in an interview that aired on Sunday on NBC News' “Meet the Press with Kristen Welker.”

- Open to deal to protect 'Dreamers' brought to the US illegally as children
- Trump says he would try to end birthright citizenship immediately
Trump also said he plans to take executive action on his first day in office to try to end birthright citizenship, which confers citizenship on anyone born in the U.S. regardless of their parents' immigration status.
Trump, a Republican who won a second term in the White House promising mass deportations, is expected to declare illegal immigration a national emergency when he takes office on Jan. 20 and draw on resources from across the federal government to support a wide-ranging crackdown.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security estimated some 11 million immigrants were in the U.S. illegally as of January 2022, although the figure is likely higher today. In the NBC News interview, Welker asked Trump if his plan was to deport everyone without legal status.
Save everyone the trouble and don't feel anything about it. Literally nobody cares. It is an unmistakable command of the 14th Amendment and if you don't like it, maybe your team shouldn't have seceded and then lost. Not sure how I feel about birthright citizenship but,
