He’s too rich to have a conflict of interest is a new one.
Sununu’s a smart guy. There’s no way he actually believes bullshit like that. Our press is absolutely complicit in what's happening.
A real journalist would have eviscerated him for a claim like that.
So he's just doing the trump thing? Talking BS out his ass - knowing full well it's BS, but it might play well in the clubhouse, or might gain some leverage somewhere?Sununu’s a smart guy. There’s no way he actually believes bullshit like that.
That line only has the potential to work on people who have know clue whatsoever how very rich people operate. The notion that Trump is too rich to be bought and therefore not susceptible to corruption has been bouncing around since the trip down the escalator. Trying that line outside of the RW bubble feels new though.
That and, “I’m not being bought if I’m also getting something from the deal.”Most people don’t understand the sociopath mindset of “more is never enough”.

But most won't, and even those that do would still have gladly voted for him last month. Most of these people are MAGAts for life, and not even realizing that Dear Leader has conned them yet again would change their votes. If they can't have the substance of his promises and threats - like deporting all illegal immigrants - they'll gladly settle for the rhetoric and verbal abuse and insults of people and groups they hate.MAGAs may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, but some are beginning to realize they got snookered

'Are you selling us out?': Trump's new comments met with immediate backlash from MAGA base
Donald Trump on Saturday was hit with outrage from his own base, after the president elect sided with billionaire Elon Musk over other MAGA personalities. Laura Loomer is among those far-right influencers who have picked a fight with Musk over certain immigration visas, which he says are...www.rawstory.com

I think I would have responded to that real journalist that $200 million is 05% of elon's wealth. If you had $1 million and donated $500 to get somebody elected, that's about the same thing. Would you have me believe that every millionaire that donated $500 to a president's campaign had a personal financial interest?Yep
A real journalist would have said, "That is an absurd statement. The man spent over 200 million to elect Trump and you would have me believe he had no personal financial interest in electing Trump as president ? Either you are as dumb as a box of rocks... or you are being disingenuous which I find insulting both to the viewers and to me."
If the millionaire who donated $500 did so knowing that donation would increase his wealth by 100 million ? then yeahI think I would have responded to that real journalist that $200 million is 05% of elon's wealth. Would you have me believe that every millionaire that donated $500 to a president's campaign had a personal financial interest?
And then you would be laughed at for making such an idiotic argument. It doesn’t matter what percentage of Elon’s wealth he contributed to Trump’s campaign, it’s still more than any other single person has donated to any other campaign, possibly ever. And he didn’t donate that amount without having a personal financial interest.I think I would have responded to that real journalist that $200 million is 05% of elon's wealth. I have my doubts. Elon got really rich before Trump and really before he started doing this whole donate so he could be Trump's best buddy. I don't think Elon cares who's in office when it comes to his wealth. I think Elon just likes having power but doesn't really feel like going through the whole running for office thing or changing the Constitution so he could be president. If the millionaire who donated $500 did so knowing that donation would increase his wealth by 100 million ? then yeah
