This is false. Maybe you mean that we have been a laughing stock before. But Obama was not regarded in Europe as a laughing stock. To the contrary, he drew enormous crowds (tens of thousands IIRC, maybe more) even before he was president. They gave him the Nobel (I think everyone can admit that he did not earn it -- it was more a type of lobbying and/or hopium).

We've been a laughing stock when our presidents talk as if they have a sub-100 IQ. Clinton and Obama were the leaders of the free world. Biden sounded the alarm on Russia and Ukraine and pulled NATO and Europe together.

Spent time in New Delhi, India, the Barrios of Bogotà, Colombia and several weeks in Turkey… Mexico, Costa Rica, etc. Not that all of those places are “developing”.

But that’s not what I’m talking about. I mean the countries of which Trump wants their favor. Europe, Canada, Australia, Scandinavia, etc. The so-called “developed countries” are, and have been laughing at us for decades, but now they’re feeling sad for us. It’s that bad.

The other places in the World? Trump refers to them as shit-hole countries, so no, I’m not talking about those places. Of course the U.S. looks like greener pastures in their regard. Apples/oranges.
