Are you referring to the random real estate agents strolling into the Capital then leaving 2 minutes later?

The "investigator's" ran a show trial with no MAGA/real Republicans on the committee.

Yes, given Biden's mental state the last year or so of his Presidency, I do worry about who had control of the auto pen.
Liz Cheney and Adam Kizinger have more “real Republican” in the tip of their pinky fingers than you or I or most other people. To say that there were not real Republicans on the January 6 investigative committee is both disingenuous and dishonest.

Cheney and Kinzinger.

This is the Catch-22, though, right? You don't consider them "real Republicans" if they stand up to Trump. So, you won't consider any committee that stands up to Trump as having any "real Republicans." Thus, any committee that rebukes Trump can be ignored because it was a partisan witch hunt. Have I got that right?

At what point is enough enough?
Its getting close if not already time.

My red line was if Trump flagrantly ignored a court order. Right now, he says he's going to do a bunch of things, maybe even does them, and then it goes to court and a judge slaps him down and it stops. He may slow walk actually obeying the judge's order, but eventually he does it.

Trump is happy with that because he already got the headlines for doing something that drives Democrats nuts and that his base loves that. He can even talk about how this judge hates him or is a DEI hire or whatever but at the end of the day, he still follows the court order. The minute that stops happening, is the minute the Constitution is broken.

But Trump just flagrantly ignored an order to stop deportation flights of a Venezuelan gang. He went ahead and did it anyway. I could see that being a "screw you, my base is going to support me deporting Brown gang members" or I could see that being a, "look we didn't get the message because we were in the air somewhere over Central America and the guy that was supposed to tell us was home for the weekend" type of thing.

If he does end up flagrantly defying a court order, I'm off the fence. I don't care if I like the budget cutting or the ending the racist policies stuff. The Constitution is more important.

Are you moving that red line to excuse this?

"US District Judge James Boasberg temporarily blocked the deportations to consider the implications of using the act — and said in court that any planes already in the air carrying migrants should return to the US. But the administration announced on Sunday that 250 deportees that it said were affiliated with the Tren de Aragua gang were in El Salvadorian custody.

A carefully worded statement by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Sunday evening only deepened intrigue over whether officials defied the judge.

“The Administration did not ‘refuse to comply’ with a court order. The order, which had no lawful basis, was issued after terrorist (Tren de Aragua) aliens had already been removed from U.S. territory,” Leavitt said.

“A single judge in a single city cannot direct the movements of an aircraft carrier full of foreign alien terrorists who were physically expelled from U.S. soil,” she added.

A distinction Leavitt made about the judge’s “written” order, and the fact she noted the migrants had left US soil but did not say when in the timeline they arrived in El Salvador, seem significant. Her use of the phrase “aircraft carrier” is confusing, however. And White Houses don’t have the power to decree whether court orders are lawful."

Just stop with the false narrative that this was a peaceful group singing kumbaya and walking around praying for the successful transition of power after trump lost the election.

Where in the constitution does it describe "real republicans"? I'm sure the founding fathers never had any concept of maga.

The investigation wasn't a trial, each defendant had an individual trial, correct?

These people had legal representation in court, is there a requirement of the parties represented by the investigators? Aren't investigators supposed to be I unbiased?

Isn't there protocol for using the auto pen? It wouldn't make sense that it could be used without the President's approval, presence when used, and oversight. Otherwise it would raise question to it being used in any circumstances.

Brown University Professor Is Deported Despite a Judge’s Order

Dr. Rasha Alawieh, a kidney transplant specialist and Brown University professor who had a valid visa, was expelled in apparent defiance of a court order.

A kidney transplant specialist and professor at Brown University’s medical school has been deported from the United States, even though she had a valid visa and a court order temporarily blocking her expulsion, according to her lawyer and court papers.

Dr. Rasha Alawieh, 34, is a Lebanese citizen who had traveled to her home country last month to visit relatives. She was detained on Thursday when she returned from that trip to the United States, according to a court complaint filed by her cousin Yara Chehab.

Judge Leo T. Sorokin of the Federal District Court in Massachusetts ordered the government on Friday evening to provide the court with 48 hours’ notice before deporting Dr. Alawieh. But she was put on a flight to Paris, presumably on her way to Lebanon.

I'm sure that most of his cult - and that's exactly what it is - will love watching Trump deport all of these people despite court rulings. Watching him bully and intimidate other people and do whatever he wants with no punishment or repercussions is part of why they like him so much. He's their fantasy come to life of being able to do anything they want - especially punishing people they don't like and visibly making them suffer - with no consequences. So they'll eat this shit up - "Trump is the man! Look at how he just thumbs his nose at those elitist snobby judges and gets away with it! I love him so!"

Trump Lays Groundwork for Investigating People Pardoned by Biden

President, in a social-media post, asserts that Biden’s pardons were ‘void, vacant, and of no further force of effect’

“… Any move to investigate or prosecute the individuals pardoned by Biden would mark a significant escalation of Trump’s defiance of longstanding legal norms. It comes after the Trump administration said over the weekend that it had deported allegedVenezuelan gang members under a centuries-old wartime law, despite a court order that temporarily blocked it from doing so.

… Trump made the post as he arrived back at the White House early Monday morning and told reporters that a decision about the legality of Biden’s autopen pardons would be made by the courts.

It’s not my decision—that’ll be up to a court—but I would say that they’re null and void, because I’m sure Biden didn’t have any idea that it was taking place, and somebody was using an autopen to sign off and to give pardons,” Trump said.

Trump’s assertions follow posts on social media by the Oversight Project, an arm of the conservative Heritage Foundation, that suggested Biden used an autopen to sign each of his pardons. …”

The irony is that the real RINOS are people like Ramrouser.

I can definitely see that being one of those that information didn't make it to the people at the airport that were putting her on a plane.

Now you can only get away with that for so long before you have to adjust your policies which is what I think will happen.

You think the guy who said on national TV, "I don't care what the judges think, I don't care what the left thinks," is going to adjust the policies?

Always willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the admin, over and over again, despite repeated proof that they don’t deserve it.

How many “oopsie serious constitutional violations” do there have to be for you to get off the fence and admit what’s happening?

This is exactly why we should all be grateful to John Roberts, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, etc for putting an end to revenge politics last summer. Can you imagine the persecution that could happen if the president didn't have near-total immunity from the law? Nobody would be safe!!!!
I still can’t believe Roberts was so naive. It was clear he really did think that he was engineering a decision that would calm the constitutional waters. When it was so obvious how easily and quickly Trump in particular could use the ruling to arrogate power to himself.
