Trump says he has nullified Biden's pardons

What safeguards has Trump put up to mitigate potential conflicts of interest? Be specific. Cite your sources.
Transparency. Oh, and Trump cancelled Tesla's 400M contract. Feb 13, 2025 NPR: "The State Department said Thursday it is abandoning plans of purchasing $400 million worth of armored Tesla vehicles..."

If Tesla's a shit EV then the market will eventually take care of this. Funny, it seems like 3 out of 4 cars in Buckhead are Teslas so some people apparently like the product. I assume most are liberal owners as most feature environmental vanity plates.

There are always potential conflicts of interests in government. I admit you need to be mindful of it and put up safeguards. Was it a conflict for Biden to drive Ford and Cadillac EVs and to "promote" those products while excluding Tesla?
You continue to say Biden excluded Tesla...what makes you say this? It's not as if Biden represented every EV company in the event...just the Big 3. That's not exactly out of line for any American President. As a matter of fact, it would be weird to include any auto manufacturer other than the Big 3 based on precedent by other leaders.

And we are not talking about a "potential" conflict of interest. We are talking about the company of the richest man in the world who has also been placed in control of the entirety of the federal government spending apparatus with no apparent oversight from anyone including POTUS himself. This person is also the recipient of more federal funds than any other person on the planet. That's not potential. That's real and clear.

News flash: Trump is brash and crude and says things that Pi$$ people off. People knew that when they elected him two times.
News flash: You've avoided answering my question many times. I asked if YOU think that is appropriate behavior for a President of the United States.

Are you one of those attorneys who has never actually seen the inside of a courtroom? I don't ask that to be a dick, but your method of engagement indicates you might be.

I don't know about a courtroom, but I'm quite certain he's never seen the inside of a boardroom.

According to some of the lawyers on the board, he probably lives in family court, which is sorta kinda like being in a regular court of law but not really.

Trump has put on hold the planned 400 million giveaway to Musk after it was exposed by the media. Trump has not "abandoned the plan" and I don't think there was ever a signed 400 million contract because the media exposed the plan.

So transparency ? Only when the media make it transparent ;)

I've been "inside" a courtroom my entire legal career. If you have to say you're not being a dick you're probably a dick.

I feel like I've repeatedly answered your question: Trump routinely acts in a manner that is contrary to the norms of appropriate behavior for a President. That's who he is and he's well known for it. He presented himself to the electorate and was elected President on two occasions.

i thought he was elected three times ;)

i cant for the life of me understand why musk would want to sleep with a prez whose cult is so anti Tesler.

makes absolutely no biz sense to me, but im no genius like musk and t-rump

I
My son practiced for a few years-mostly State/local Contracted legal aid He quite 10 years ago but is going back soon to the same firm
He was shocked (and happy) that the whole scene has changed since Covid. The little firm he will be part of again may drop their Office lease.
Yes he will have to court a couple days a week-but mostly "zoom" stuff-Work from home

And yet you've answered on behalf of everyone except yourself.

Do YOU consider his behavior in this matter appropriate?

They freaking GLUE exterior pieces to the frame on Teslas.
My brother side-swiped a small trailer in his Tesla going about 10 mph in his neighborhood, totaled the car. Granted, he was an early adopter and the car is 10 years old, but the front quarter panel and hood look like you took a sheet of tinfoil and balled it up in your hand. Hate to think if he'd been going faster or hit something head-on. He liked the car (as did I for that matter) but I don't think he's getting another one...

I’ve been thinking a lot about this and I don’t think this is about pardons. It’s a power grab. If Trump can establish that Biden wasn’t competent enough to sign pardons then he can begin to make that argument about other things. Like the Inflation Reduction Act, the ban on drilling etc etc.

We’re not getting our country back without a fight.

In metro Atlanta, Fulton and Dekalb counties are almost 100% zoom for civil matters- everything but jury trials. I even had a 3 day zoom bench trial last year. Cobb and Gwinnett Counties vary by judge and Cherokee is still mainly in person for trials - as is most of the state.

50%+ of depositions and mediations are zoom as well.

I don't completely like this new zoom world but it's here to stay.
