The stupidity of Americans has seemingly fueled the end of our civilization as we know it. If that seems dramatic just look at everything that has happened so far and the direction we're going. Elon has the resources to turn off our lights, so to speak.

If something doesn't change, we're cooked.
I've often wondered what it would be like if every American was at least of average intelligence? All it takes is one dumbass family member to drill their beliefs and political views into their children and so on. And then it doesn't matter how intelligent someone is because "it's the way I was raised" takes over for a majority of people.

And I say this as someone who's probably only of average intelligence.

What if we were like Lake Wobegon?

If every American was at least average intelligence, we would all be exactly equal in intelligence because math.

Elon is also impulsive, childish, shallow, egotistical, and given to temper tantrums and has already shown that he can turn on Trump on a dime (and vice versa) so I'm not at all sure that his newfound support for Trump will last beyond next week, much less all the way to the midterms. Trump and Elon have one huge problem that will always interfere with any alliance they may temporarily have: they're both narcissistic egomaniacs who want to be in charge and be the center of attention, and neither of them will likely tolerate being second fiddle for very long.

Thats the point.
Fair enough, but I'm talking specifically about this year's midterms, and I have serious doubts as to whether this new Trump/Elon alliance will last for very long, as Trump has the same personality that Elon does. In the bigger picture, yeah, Elon and his fellow tech plutocrats may end up destroying us all or at least leading us into a new high-tech age where people like them continue to live like kings and queens while the vast majority of humanity becomes impoverished serfs to tech lords.
