I have no idea about the risks of vaccines and believe they are good based entirely off my casual observation. WTS I would like to see some research done by those who are not connected at the hip with big pharma. People do get rich off war and sickness.

That’s going to be an issue as long as our current system remains in tact. The people with the education and expertise to conduct research into pharmaceuticals tend to be the same people who work for pharmaceutical companies or have worked for them in the past. This isn’t a very large group of people we’re talking about.

If someone goes to school for this, likely taking on massive amounts of debt to do so, they’re basically forced to work for big pharma at some point in their career to pay it back. Maybe they can go into government service after that at a severe pay cut.

I get what you’re saying about the “revolving door” though.

No one getting a PhD in biomedical sciences or pharmaceutical sciences should be going into debt to get the degree. Tuition waiver and a $25-35K stipend are typical.

How? Those comments are predictive, not statements of prior fact. And Patel is about as public a figure as you can get right now. Any lawsuit would be pure — oh what’s that word??? — lawfare.
That is what I initially thought until I read the letter from his lawyers. It appears she was talking about things he did in advising Pence in the past.

LOL. And yet a great many of his voters are conservative "Christians" who did indeed vote for him because they think he's some kind of "Christ's champion" who is going to save their declining religious denominations from those awful secular humanist liberals. Apparently whether Trump is a Christian "choirboy" or not depends upon which excuse or defense is needed as of that moment.

He has his eye on Mt Rushmore again?

I'm wondering if he means we're going to put back up statues and memorials to Confederate leaders and generals and/or other proven racist or otherwise awful characters from our past. Maybe he'll get the NC GOP to put Silent Sam up again - given how in-your-face Trumpers are, they'd probably put it right back where it was.

Couldn’t pull off NC AG (thank goodness) but getting a plum role in the Trump Admin as a consolation prize.

Cleans up the never-ending engagement for Don Jr, who seems to be openly dating other women, I guess?

Does Kimberly think that she is “the best?” Because if so, then that quote - put in context of her dating Don Jr - would make perfect sense.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes the CIA had a role in assassinating his uncle, President John F. Kennedy — part of RFK Jr.'s motivation for pushing his daughter-in-law, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, for deputy CIA director, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: President-elect Trump feels indebted to RFK Jr., his pick for secretary of Health and Human Services, for his help in the election, and is eager to please him. But there's real drama behind the scenes about whether Fox Kennedy is the right choice for the CIA's No. 2 job.

  • RFK Jr. has been telling people that Fox Kennedy — his presidential campaign manager, who is married to his son Bobby Kennedy III — would help get to the bottom of the JFK assassination, two Republican sources told Axios.
