Be especially sure to include all of the left wing violence in the last 5 years (your stated timeframe, not mine) that resulted in literal children in daycares being bombed to death or shot to death at a 4th of July parade, or church goers being murdered en masse at Bible study, or a presidential candidate having an attempt on his life, or politicians murdered in their homes alongside their dogs and in front of their children. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

You do understand that virtually all mass violence is carried out by extremists, yeah? Like, you get that that's who does the whole killing/murdering thing, correct? That's...that's the whole point, right? Just want to make sure we are all operating from the same wavelength here.

Yes, right wing extremists are responsible for a significant amount of mass casualty events or politically-motivated violence in our country. Does that mean that all right wingers are extremists? Nope. Does it mean that all right wingers are okay with violence? Nope. Does it mean that there isn't violence perpetrated by left wingers? Nope. Does it mean that left wing violence is acceptable? Hell no. Does it mean that the right wing in particular has a very unique problem with fomenting mass casualty or political violence through the very unique media misinformation machine that it has created? Indisputably.

Ram is, at this moment, running into the reality that his media sources have been telling him for years the American left is violent to its core, but there's no evidence to support that proposition. It's incredibly hard to realize you've been lied to for years by the people you think are trustworthy.

Ram, let me assure you, many of us here have been there. That's why we left the Republican Party and will now do anything we can to burn that corrupt, dishonest institution to the ground, with the sincere hope that a good-faith, honest, ethical conservative party can rise from its ashes.

Now, Ram is prideful enough that he'll probably just retreat to his beach house on the Florida panhandle, paid for by his boss who only escaped prison for his role in attempting to subvert the 2020 election because enough people decided to reelect the architect of that subversion to be the most powerful person in the history of the world. But for those of you Pubs who might be reading this who still have a shred of integrity left, please know, you will not be struck dead by your Zeus God if you decide to vote for a Democrat. I did it. CFord did it. Many of us here did it. And I can't speak for anyone else, but I am SO THANKFUL I don't have to carry the weight on my shoulders of JCDing every day for the Worst Human In American History.

I don’t have time today to do the research, but just in the past year we have the Washington Embassy killings, the Insurance executive murder, the Boulder flamethrower, not to mention the TESLA terrorists and the violence against ICE agents. The left is starting to lose it.

Four deceased victims in all of those acts of violence combined. God rest their souls, and I wholeheartedly condemn the assailants and whatever ideology led them to commit such heinous crimes. Four losses of human life is four too many. Full stop.

That said, thank you very, very, very much for proving our point. Right wing violence is typically more often than not mass-casualty, usually with many more victims, than left wing violence. Because the right wing has a very unique media ecosystem (cable news channels, a vast network of paid social media shills with coordinated talking points, online forums like 4chan and sites like InfoWars/StormFront/etc) that is uniquely designed to make right wingers uniquely angry at the entire world. The left wing has no such thing.

Left wing violence is wrong. Right wing violence is wrong. Violence of all sorts is wrong. The difference between you and the rest of us is that we aren’t so blinded by partisanship such that we won’t defend people on “our side” doing horrible shit like, you know, killing people or raping minors. You, on the other hand, defend and deflect and “what about”. Sad!

Edited to add: the point here is not to go tit for tat and to keep a scorecard for right wing violence versus left-wing violence. All violence sucks. Throw all violent offenders under the jail to rot. The point is to highlight ramrouser’s hypocrisy and his inability to view the world outside of his insulated right wing media echo chamber.

I have no recollection of my defending violence by right wingers because I don’t. Who in their right mind supports innocent people being killed or injured by any type of political violence? We see the left celebrating Luigi, the Tesla firebombers and the violence against the ICE agents. I agree that the right made tasteless jokes about Pelosi but that was that really wasn’t a left/right issue since the hammer guy was just crazy.

In a recent survey conducted by the NCRI found that those identifying as left of center have a significantly higher support for lethal political violence than right of center. For example, 56% of left of center respondents said murdering Donald Trump would be at least somewhat justified, while 50% said the same about Elon Musk. That’s frightening but pretty consistent with what I’ve seen posted on this Board.

Well then, I reckon you better go have a word with Timothy McVey, Eric Rudolph, Dylan Roof, Patrick Crusius, James Fields, Robert Bowers, Payton Gendron, Lee Aldrich, Mauricio Garcia, and all of those fucks who beat the ever loving crap out of police officers on Capitol Hill because they were mad about losing an election! You have to let them know that the only examples of right wing violence you can muster are “tasteless jokes about Nancy Pelosi’s husband.” They’ll be super relieved!

Candidly I have been struggling lately with my faith in God after so much horrific stuff has been happening to so many good people. I can unequivocally say that after seeing Ramrouser’s post about Mao Zedong, I absolutely, positively, undisputedly believe the existence of God Almighty Himself because a gift like that post could only come from the divine. I feel completed.
