TSA

All the non screening work of the TSA - crowd control, security, guys that yell instructions.

Almost all the people in line interviewed by CNN were thrilled ICE was there reducing the wait time.

Long term solution is to privatize TSA security at ATL like SF did at their airport.
Link it or you are lying, as usual. Nobody at ATL was "thrilled" ICE was there this morning. Nor was ICE doing a damn thing other than exactly what I shared in the pictures above. Nor was ICE doing anything to "reduce the wait time" considering they can't, you know, actually perform the security screening of passengers and luggage.

Why do always post so much crap that is so easily refuted?

This is not a battle I want to fight. I say we deploy every single ICE officer to our airports every day through the end of 2028. Have them help at Chick-fil-A and Auntie Anne's. Have them take a shift cleaning the restrooms. Have them enforce the time limits in the Amex Lounge. Have them give backrubs to the TSA officers after a long time staring at the baggage scanner.

I'm 100% certain I'd rather have ICE doomscrolling Facebook in Terminal T rather than terrorizing our communities and gunning down Americans in the streets.

On Ram’s media/social media of choice, everyone was thrilled with ICE. They don’t report the unhappy ones.

ICE is in airports because of Trump's refusal to support funding for DHS until his voter suppression law is passed. It's yet another case of the arsonist attempting to put out the fire—one of Trump's specialties. Any travelers "thrilled" to have ICE in airports only underscores the stupidity of the average American.

You're conveniently failing to mention the fact that all of this started when the Dems refused to fund DHS even though ICE is fully funded by the BBB. So, they elected to defund all parts of DHS while ICE remains in business. Granted, most of the public doesn't know or care about these details and nuances. A huge majority will blame everyone in government with the partisans blaming the other side.

Sorry, but Republicans control every single branch and lever of government, and besides, we have Republican senators who were on TV just this morning saying that the TSA catastrophe is Donald Trump‘s fault. Oooops!

You want to try out your next lie?

Remind us who has the majorities in Congress?

The only one conveniently failing is you.

The Dems want to ensure that ICE operates as every other legit law enforcement agency in the world. No masks, no excessive force, warrants, etc.

So the impasse is this: DHS is closed because Dems want to use the leverage to obtain ICE reforms, and the GOP doesn't want to reform ICE. The blame lies on the party who has the correct stance.

Do you think ICE should be able to continue to operate as a lawless secret police terrorizing our communities? That's really all there is to it.

I always like when Ram pops back out from hiding in his basement, because you know he’s going to bring the absolute dumbest, absolute most easily refuted, absolute most moronic takes on every subject matter straight from the fever swamps of his social media algorithm, and try to peddle it as fact.

Republicans control every branch of government. There would be funding already if Trump would agree to sign the bill.

A great big strong beautiful man came up to me with tears in his eyes and he said sir – the big men love calling me sir, sometimes they even call me daddy – he said, sir thank you so much for sending ICE agents to the airport to help make sure that all of those illegal aliens aren’t boarding with group one and sitting in first class. Sir, thank you for making our airports great again by making us wait in line for 4 hours before we go sit in a metal tube at 35,000 feet cramped in like sardines sniffing each other’s farts and praying that the ATC shortage doesn’t cause us to crash into a firetruck on the ground when we land. Thank you, daddy sir!

But if you are black, brown, or Minnesotan, no sudden movements at the airport.
- When removing your boarding pass from your pocket you need to clearly and loudly announce your intention and do it in slo-mo or risk getting shot.
- Don't bump any agent with your luggage or you risk getting shot.
- Enunciate your "f" when mention "flights", if an agent hears the word "rights" you may get shot.
- If you are in line for the bathroom and someone is behind you wearing a mask, let them past. Obstruction of an agent may get you shot.
- Do not selfie, watch vids in front of your face, or even hold your phone up to your ear. The appearance of filming an agent may get you shot.

While not the point of this thread, I agree with this. Then again, statutory pay is irrelevant to most members of Congress. The real move would be to lock their net wealth at the beginning of their term. If they lose wealth while serving, we make it up from the Treasury on an inflation-adjusted basis. If they gain, they can either pay taxes on it at 95%, or they can donate the gain to a nonpartisan charity on a tax-free basis. That does a huge strike against both corruption and lifetime terms in one fell swoop.
What a great suggestion and solution.
