No posts about this yet. Supposedly, left-wing radicals wanted to bomb companies on New Year's Eve in LA and OC, but Kash Patel and Pam Bondi put a stop to it when the evil doers were in the desert getting ready to practice their bombs. I am more than a little bit suspicious of this alleged conspiracy, but I guess I will wait for the evidence. Supposedly, they were in an even more dangerous wing of the TILF known as the Order of the Black Lotus. The whole thing sounds like cos play or a reddit post gone bad.

Who's the fourth rate screenwriter who came up with this farce? It's so bad, it's ridiculous. Somebody do the physics of blowing up large spaces with a backpack size bomb. How bad would security have to be to smuggle in, plant and detonate enough of these place strategically enough to not catch them. It's damned sure clear that, if by some chance it's even partly real, it's neither organized nor sophisticated.

Some years ago I watch an HBO documentary called The Newburgh Sting which investigates an FBI disrupted terror plot in 2009. Since watching, I’ve definitely been more skeptical regarding disrupted terror plot news stories.

Kash's FBI out here consistently bungling investigations and detaining innocent people in connection to high profile shootings like the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the mass shooting at Brown University. But hey, they saved the American public from imminent doom by thwarting the very wicked and definitely real schemes of the infamous Turtle Island Liberation Front so I guess we should all count our blessings.

Sounds like they were pretty serious....

A federal court complaint alleges that three members would plant “backpacks with ieds at different points along their assigned buildings,” adding that the “ieds” would be “complex pipe bombs.”

The plan also had outlined all of the security precautions the members should take while executing the plan, including using burner phones, de-clothing locations, and setting up long movies to stream at home to serve as an alibi, DOJ said. The documents also allegedly included a step-by-step process for crafting a pipe bomb.

“The subjects self-identified as members of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology. They were allegedly planning coordinated IED bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement on X.

The members planning to carry out the attack were using the encrypted messaging platform, Signal, the FBI alleges in the complaint. Carroll, the document says, “provided a list that identified components, chemicals, and tools along with prices which would be required to create the pipe bombs needed to go through with the planned attack.”

Going for a role In Dumber and Dumber and Dumber for when enough really isn't enough?

So they had a list of supplies, a “plan” and used signal? Were they actually in possession of anything? I use signal for the family group chat, nice to know that’s apparently enough to arouse suspicion of the authorities 🙄. This sounds like incompetent adults who never grew out of the edgy teenager phase.

Especially since they were going to buy this, assemble all this and get everything from planning to operational in a couple of weeks without arousing suspicion. Is the Onion behind this? Are they tired of being upstaged by this administration's reality? Curious minds want to know.

From the CNN story:

On December 12, the group allegedly went to the Mojave Desert to construct and test the explosive devices.

“Based on an FBI Bomb Technician’s review of the materials found at the co-conspirators’ campsite, the FBI Bomb Technician determined that the components could likely be used to build both (1) improvised explosive devices and (2) Molotov cocktail devices, and that the components were readily assemblable,” the complaint says.

A list of components to build Molotov cocktail devices?
