Absolutely. There’s literally no upside to anyone except the top 0.1%.

And Orangeturd's egoAbsolutely. There’s literally no upside to anyone except the top 0.1%.
Of course they were going to find the votes they needed to pass this bill, because Congressional Republicans are all spineless cowards who are terrified of Trump and his base and will cave nearly every time. And it should be remembered that one of the main complaints of some Republicans about this bill (who voted for it anyway) is that it doesn't cut enough - they actually want more cuts. This vote just confirms that Trump still owns the GOP body and soul and that it really is a cult of personality, which is something nearly everyone on this board knew anyway.I honestly dont know why we are stressing over it. We all knew how bad it would be and we all knew it would pass and we all knew there is zero power for Democrats to do anything about it.
I mean, no. They campaigned on not knowing about or having anything to do with Project 2025.Honestly, though, and I mean this with utmost sincerity, good on the Republicans. They did quite literally exactly what they said they were going to do on the campaign trail. Ain’t their fault that their voters are dipshits.
Hey now...I have been known to eat a mayonnaise sandwich.Yep. The only small silver lining is that a whole bunch of mayonnaise sandwich-eating cousin fuckers are about to find out the hard way. Oh well!
I am so very sorry to hear that. What's the situation with coverage for you and/or the other parent? Im pretty good with finessing the enrollment process on the marketplace. I don't want them to go without coverage.Im not super thrilled with the prospect of both my children losing Medicaid coverage. Not sure what to do
There are a good many schools in my urban county that have either a majority or very large minority of kids who receive reduced or free school lunches. I cringe when I think about what is going to happen to a good many of those kids. It's simply inhumane and utterly un-Christlike, and yet here we are - and all of this is being caused mostly by people who loudly and proudly call themselves Christian.Modestly educated prediction time: ~10 years from now, economic, epidemiological, and public health will draw straight lines between a reduction in US lifespan and widespread exacerbation of chronic disease and this bill.
I continue to stand on the prediction that Trump 2.0 kills more Americans than 1.0, and we already know it’s going to kill many, many millions more worldwide.
If I had a dollar for every lie contained in that post, I would have enough to buy a 1/2 gallon of Bombay Gin...
I don’t know about a straight mayo sandwich, but wars have been fought for causes less valuable than a great BLT.
US lifespan has already fallen decently below the rest of the first world, despite the supposed "best healthcare on the planet."Modestly educated prediction time: ~10 years from now, economic, epidemiological, and public health will draw straight lines between a reduction in US lifespan and widespread exacerbation of chronic disease and this bill.

I think extending the tax cuts from Trump v 1.0, along with not taxing tips and overtime are pretty huge for non-.01%.Absolutely. There’s literally no upside to anyone except the top 0.1%.
Say what?Honestly, though, and I mean this with utmost sincerity, good on the Republicans. They did quite literally exactly what they said they were going to do on the campaign trail. Ain’t their fault that their voters are dipshits.
Listen, when you grow up in Edgecombe County in the middle of nowhere, you do what you gotta do.
The cost of the bill to anyone who would pay less taxes as a result of those cuts and extensions are far greater than any benefit they might receive. This is a perfect illustration of most Americans’ economic illiteracy.I think extending the tax cuts from Trump v 1.0, along with not taxing tips and overtime are pretty huge for non-.01%.
Yeah, I hear ya. You’re right. I think I just very, very poorly attempted to articulate “FAFO”Say what?
No, they voted for the conservative nirvana they were promised. Conservative media never once told them about the downsides of their votes. They are ignorant, many by choice, of how Trump’s agenda will negatively impact them because he lied and the right wing media bubble ate it up. But transgender Americans and pet-eating Haitians in Ohio are still gonna get fucked over so all is good and they will gladly suffer the consequences since people they fear will be worse off than them.
