He cares about his own power and his own pocket. Both of those have been greatly diminished in the last few months and this bill will hurt his pocket worse than anything he's ever seen from a regulatory standpoint. It isn't difficult to figure out why he's so ardently against it...and it isn't the government waste. He just knows that nobody listening to him has any sympathy for the plight of Elon, Tesla, or honestly renewable energy.

Yep. Happen to see a post he made. The last sentence was a rant that BBB fed the old industries and killed the new industries. So, its obvious he cares about his own skin and not spending.

I would also surmise, that Musk is shocked that a few hundred million only buys so much from Trump before the new blackmail kicks in.
