That very well may be true, but I think super is saying basically the same thing about Collins (and you seem to be disagreeing with him).
I have no idea about what Super did or didn't say. I said Susan Collins will not retire. And she won't. She has no reason to think she will lose in Maine. As long as that is true, she will run for another 2 terms minimum. She will either be beaten in a very close general election or she will die in office. She will not retire.

She might. It all depends on her internal polling over the next six months.

This was a monumental victory for trump and trumpism overall. They will push it as a mandate (though it hardly is). The corruption and illegalities and unconstitutional acts will only increase. The funding for ICE alone creates a masked modern gestapo at the beck and call of Stephen Miller and trumpist policies. The news media have essentially caved. The fake reports and releases from the Federal Government will suffice.

We're whipped.

That's my 'take' on this morning after.

‘Tis true. All this talk about FAFO… it’s time to merge this thread and several others onto that one FAFO thread. Americans have fucked around and are now finding out.

There’s that one thread about “how will a trump presidency harm you?” It seems apropos about now.

I just hope those on the fringes, the Marginalized, the poor, the people of color, the LGBTQ, etc. who made the mistake of voting for Trump are going to be satisfied with their choice now. They’re the ones who’ve truly fucked around and will soon be finding out.

Be safe out there everybody. Let me know when it’s time to whitewash this board and close up shop. No need to get caught up in Stephen Miller’s dragnet.

I think there’s way too much fatalism on here and on the left in general. Democrats may be mostly a bunch of incompetent boobs, but even they shouldn’t be able to fuck up a blue wave election next fall. This bill getting passed is a spectacular disaster for about 98.9% of the American public.
