My god, these people are so dumb. I can’t believe we’ve let these clowns run the country.

Call me crazy, but you know, I think maybe, just maybe, NOT ENGAGING IN ARBITRARILY DISPENSED MURDER BY HELLFIRE MISSILE might just be the best recipe for keeping the temperature down.
What are you referring to? The drone strikes during war?I will note here for posterity's sake, that Obama is not entirely blameless here. He sets some precedents here that "took the first step down this journey of a thousand miles". It was hard to foresee that a future Trump admin would just teleport the rest of the thousand miles, but still, a lot of people at the time advised that maybe it was best not to break the seal on this sort of thing, because it didn't take too much imagination to see how it could go wrong in the future.
yes, specifically questionably legal drone strikes on individual known terrorists. What are you referring to? The drone strikes during war?
There were a number of incidents in the Pacific in WWII in which survivors of sinkings were killed in the water. Both sides did it at times. Here's one famous example --The shooting down of Yamamoto during WWII has been cited as a precedent.
I have little doubt that there were earlier, smaller and perhaps much more ad hoc attempts.
I meant more in the lines of a targeted assassination of a foreign leader. There were a number of incidents in the Pacific in WWII in which survivors of sinkings were killed in the water. Both sides did it at times. Here's one famous example --

Another one --
All of which contributed to the restrictions in the Geneva Conventions, which Trump now seems determined to ignore.
Sorry. Misunderstood.I meant more in the lines of a targeted assassination of a foreign leader.
What are you talking about, what about Trump. Isn't that what we are talking about?Nope. I said that Congress implied that war crimes had already been committed AND were telling military personnel not to follow orders.
Like I said earlier, and mean it this time, I give up. To me this is an obvious issue, but clearly most others either a) don't see an issue or b) want to say 'but, but, but... what about Trump".

Yes. Among the people trying to stop them were Mark Kelly, Elissa Slotkin, etc.No need to pivot. The increasing of temperature is obvious and, among other things, the reason our military personnel would be put at higher risk. If they're committing war crimes and nobody is doing anything about it, someone needs to stop them, right?
Soleimani was a uniformed soldier in another nation’s military and was providing direct support to an opposition force in an ongoing armed conflict. That situation isn’t even close to comparable. It may have been inadvisably stupid, tactically or strategically a mistake, or the greatest thing to happen in war since the invention of the tank, but it wasn’t likely a war crime, which is a pretty key distinction.Where were these Dems and their concern for murder when we droned Qasem Soleimani? Last time I checked, Soleimani hadn't killed anyone and was never given a trial.
I also seem to recall that the Dems did take a dim view of Trump having him killed. Am I mistaken? This is more what I remember.Soleimani was a uniformed soldier in another nation’s military and was providing direct support to an opposition force in an ongoing armed conflict. That situation isn’t even close to comparable.
