“As the war in Ukraine settled into a stalemate, two assumptions became prevalent among analysts: First, that it is nearly impossible to achieve any surprise on a battlefield blanketed by drones. Second, that it is nearly impossible to mount fast-moving offensive operations, given the extensive defenses erected by both sides. Ukraine has challenged both assumptions over the past few days with its surprise, lightning-fast thrust into Russia’s Kursk region — an area familiar to military historians as the site, during World War II, of the biggest tank battle in history.

Polls show that a majority of war-weary Ukrainians support a peace treaty that gives up land occupied by Russia, which was not the case a year ago. Russia is grinding the population down.

Sure, we should watch and adapt our strategy accordingly but Let’s not tempt fate by taunting Putin on this point.
 
Putin was fighting a war where there were no border worries as the world was worried about Ukraine escalating the conflict. The US had denied Ukraine using weapons that could strike into Russia until recently. If you're not concerned about incursions into your territory in a war, you can direct more forces in the areas of your offensive. Ukraine is hoping to pull Russian forces from the offensive zones. What's funny is Russia is pulling smaller reinforcements which are getting destroyed upon entering the I cursing area. They will need to pull a much larger force...

Russian propaganda has to no explain why people are dying still after Russia "repelled" the incursion.
