Starlink is used by Ukranian troops. Russia uses a similar system. Musk has some vested interest, but probably not a huge amount. Trump will want to pacify Putin by giving concessions to Russia. It will be interesting to see what comes out of this group hug.

I think they were letting Zelensky know he might want to move his family to Boca before February.
 
I heard Trump considering deal: if Putin will pull out of Ukraine and promise to honor their sovereignty, US will pull out of NATO
 
Do Russians still use the same system that the USSR used where they really don't have a cadre of career noncoms?

I read a couple of years ago that is STILL the case and considered a huge flaw in their military readiness and training.

Yes, their military is a disorganized shit show. Almost all enlisted are conscripts and officers are Putin loyalists who couldn’t get work elsewhere. With their manpower and resource advantages they should have made quick work of Ukraine (which is why many assumed that they would). That they didn’t should be a major embarrassment to them.
