First of all, you are assuming there is a great rim protector we can get, which is by no means guaranteed. I agree with you that rim protection is valuable, but there are not a bunch of elite rim protectors hanging out in the portal.
Second of all, Henri's value comes from a lot more than three-point shooting; he was an incredibly efficient offensive player (much more so than RJ Davis) who was a perfect interior offensive anchor with some passing and playmaking chops to boot. He would have likely been one of the best overall offensive players in college bball last season. It will be virtually impossible to get anyone who can come close to matching his offensive impact.
Third, you might want to look a little deeper at UNC's defensive stats last year. It was Wilson, not Veesaar, who was more of a drag on our overall team defense.
