UNC Basketball Possible coaches

It's been posted on numerous pinned articles.
I haven't seen IC (Ben, Rell, etc.) say that Lloyd has reciprocated interest in the job. But, I also haven't read through all of those pages. (I was under the assumption that it was a recent post and that is why Turd mentioned it....I guess I'm getting my hopes up.)

Never mind, it's in Greg's article that "Sources have indicated that contact was made with Lloyd’s representation earlier this week and the interest has been reciprocated."

But your dad's comment about people losing their drive in their mid-60's was in response to Mack Brown being rehired by UNC's football coach. Maybe the lesson here is that if you get the best players year after year it matters a lot less how old the head coach is. Ergo, let's hire somebody whom the best players want to play for..
Nick Saban was a coach.

Mack was a TV studio guru.

One still had the fire for the work.

One liked working in a TV studio.

Sort of. Illinois has never won it all and that felt like a big step up for Self at the time. They’ve always felt like a step down from Arizona to me. 🤷‍♂️
Illinois is headed to the Final Four for the first time since 2005.

Kansas is obviously a better hoops school than Illinois. Illinois is a “sleeping giant” in football and basketball.

Arizona’s headed to the Final Four for the first time since 2001. Fifth time ever.

My son is inside studying but the snow and winter weather still messes with him.

You can't get around Ann Arbor when there's a lot of snow. Narrow streets and sharp turns.
Something tells me that your son, the student, is adversely impacted by the winter weather more than Dusty May.

May likely has:
  • A heated garage at home
  • A generator for when power goes out
  • A garage, maybe a heated one, at work that is REAL close to his office with a dedicated “Dusty May” parking space
  • Sidewalks around work are cleared and salted often
  • A big ass, NEW SUV to drive (one with heated seats and knobby-ass tires)
  • Possibly a heated driveway
  • A plowing service that clears his driveway and sidewalks FREQUENTLY during snow storms
  • The financial ability to have food and beverages delivered to home and work around the clock
Dusty May (and his family) likely experience crappy Ann Arbor winter weather much more easily and more comfortably than your son, a student, does.

To me, what’s interesting is that Dusty May moved to Alabama, Louisiana, and Florida in 2007.

He only returned to the “Great White North” in 2024.
