UNC Football Catch-all | Bill Belichick Era underway

Man, I wish it was Bill being “old school” that was the problem. If only!

Bill’s problem has nothing to do with being old school and everything to do with the fact that he is arrogant, hubristic, believes he is the smartest football mind that ever existed, has a significant proclivity for nepotism and cronyism, has completely lost his fastball in talent evaluation, and has completely jettisoned the militantly no-nonsense/no distractions mentality that made him so successful in the first place.

If our only problem was that Bill is old-school versus Mack being soft, we’d be 4-1 and thinking about how the back half of our schedule set us up for getting to Charlotte on December 6.

I didn't say that was only problem..it is driving this case so to speak. Clearly parents, players, staff that have felt mistreated or whatever popped this cork. I'm all for truth and consequences.
Not sure l knew you were letterman. Have you self identified on here? I know you have connections to Robeson county. Who was your coach at unc?

What is the N&O story you keep referring to? Of all the posts I’ve read here and on 247, I’ve yet to see anyone post something from the N%O.
 
its not a smart move to trust any school in regards to matters of protecting their cash cows

theyve been lying about the eligibility scam of the phony 'student' athlete for decades

I tend to lump Nando and WRAL as Raleigh media. Referring more to their overall coverage since BB has been there. What I have seen has been incredibly negative. I think headline after UCF was Bellichick sells UNC bill of good. That is game 4. There was a story here, actually still is, to take a deep dive and look at how we got here. The whiff in the portal. Why no QB. The recruiting. Coaching hires. Etc. But cute headlines are easier to write than actually reporting.

It was and is clear that BB has sold UNC a bill of goods. Cute or not, it's accurate. Raleigh media or not, they are correct. The hire is a disaster from top to bottom in every way.

Over and above the on-the-field product, BB’s short tenure has yielded a ton of drama off the field. That’s the problem. And that’s why the headlines (both local and national) have been roundly negative.

I am not asking for a positive story. I am asking for a how did we get here story. Also, as I have said, there are positives. Recruiting fur example. Nando, WRAL probably busy working on the story about the trainer allegedly molesting make athletes.

The funny thing about Bill at the high school game is that a friend of mine was there and posted about it. The rumor was going around that he'd show up.
